It depend on what you yourself want to accomplish. If you want what you have right now and you think this is the best life you can live in the USA then what you have right now is a result of all the wars we have had in the past. But remember you did not have to die for it. Ask a person who died for war if it was worth it. The problem with this as you know, you cant. I think there is a better way.

That is a question only you can answer....that being said, you must consider who our country (the USA) is fighting, why they are fighting, and what the end-game is going to be.

There are forces out there that want to completely annihilate all men, women and children who do not subscribe to their medieval religion and culture. Though some aspects of this religion and culture resonate with conservative family and political positions, they are enforced in an ultra-radical and extremely violent way (i.e., not stressing the voluntary and hence personally enforceable method, but the hammer and anvil method of submission to rule and law).

War is necessary when you, your way of life and your home, family and country are threatened, for no good reason. We don't support just one side in the conflict in the Mid-East, we support many sides, so the 'good reason' to conduct war and terror and subversion against the USA and our allies is just not there.

I would say, if you're life is on the line, along with those you love, you fight, tooth and nail, to keep what you have and keep others from harming you. That's why most sane people go to war. The others go because they believe and expect something out of war that likely will never happen, which is terror/murder leading to death of oneself which leads to eternal paradise. Our way of getting there is through peace and love and compassion. The war we're in is against people who think the violent rout gets them to the same place. IT DOESN'T.

There will always be WAR.. and at times it is necessary and worth it. What most these non-patriotic dorks don't realize is , the freedom they love and cherish today... is due to the bloodshed of others. Hello.... Revolutionary War.. ring a bell! And yes.. sometimes we have to go to other countries and fight a war to prevent future dictators and tyrants (Saddam Hussein) from every becoming powerful enough to really cause the USA a real threat. Of course War is stupid.. any killing is stupid, but it is part of life, survival of the fittest. For you non aggressive types, if you were an animal in the jungle, I would refer to you as LUNCH!

Weren't we attacked first? Sure there have been small battles, etc...but 911 threw us in the thick of it full force. Saddam had a chance to avoid war but played games. The UN didn't do anything and never does anything. Anyways, whatever they do seems to fall apart. War is horrible...that's it's nature. Should we just let people kill us or do we fight back? I say we fight.

War only begets war. What did America get from it's war in Iraq, an extra trillion of debt, 2500+ US soldiers dead, 25000 US soldiers injured (some of them are disabled), 100000+ Iraqis dead, hatred of the Muslim and Arabic world, being in constant fear of terrorist attacks....

I say it was worth it.

yes it is if there were no wars there would be too many people in this planet and we would consume all of our natural resourses. its like deer hunters who hunt to down size the deer population, if there were no deer hunters too many deer would be around and overpopulate
