Because the majority of voting America has not elected a black, female or homosexual president. (Well, you never know, we may have had a homosexual)
Someday we will have a Black women who is a lesbian elected but I don't think it will be in our lifetime.

You would think that, with God being a black, gay female, one or more of these folk would have been President. But how do we know for sure that that has never been the case, given the "Moving in mysterious ways" legend?

There is nothing wrong with a Black president. It just hasnt happened yet. Im not sure a female president would be a wise decision strickly for the reason that no other country would take her seriously... regaurdless of how great she was/is. as for a gay president... I resort to a personal opinion... (so forgive me if you dont agree)
I believe that someone who is gay is probably not all that emotionally stable. There is alot going on under the surface there... and for a gay person to even run for president would be so taxing on our country that it would be a big mess... Id just rather keep things the way they are and watch it work itself out...

There is speculation that Pres. Buchanan (the only bachelor President so far) was gay. So there may have been one gay President.
The political parties do not tend to nominate and support people outside of the "norm," no matter how good a President they would make. Unfortunately, that's the current reality.

because to date no female, black or gay person has had access to the hundreds of millions of dollars required nowadays to run successfully for president. sad but true.
it also suggests that the power base for these types of candidate is not nearly broad enough in the area that counts -
business, which always has one hand out for subsidies etc, and the other out with a list of demands to loosen regulations that affect them.

Because the SILENT MAJORITY comprises most of the voters in America and they chose to not have any such as you describe. The VOCAL MINORITY prance and talk and make foolish noise but the SILENT MAJORITY get off their duffs at election time and direct our nations actions. 1776

Because American's are too scared of stepping outside the box. I'm sure Hilary Clinton is going to try, and that will be amusing in itself enough for awhile.
