Mainly I just want to know why the presidents don't give some of there paycheck to the country. if they make 1 million then give half of that to the country your running! Makes sence if they really care! but i don't think they do! as allways greed takes over! what are your views on this and how can we get it into action! Why does the president make so much money? When will the greed stop?

If this ideal that free men can govern themselves is at work. Have we squandered it. Have we forgotten the sacrifice make by men who wanted freedom from the tyranny of the British government. Freedom from high taxes and no taxation w/o representation. Who is speaking for me while a 3rd of my wages are spent on bombs and putting people with drug habits in jail. Whos speaking for "us" when we have to pay 3.50 a gallon and our grandparents have to choose between food and treatments of disease because the FDA has made it virtually impossible to manufacture a cure because there is no money in it. This is fact! Why?! What is our recourse? I know that the people who want to dominate us would just love it if we went off and assembled with our small arms seeing that our right to bear arms in order to remain a free state has been taken. Then they could put into place a martial law and call freedom loving americans terrorists. People who could no longer function under this tyranny.

One evacuee from Beirut today complained that Bush didn't act fast enough to get Americans out of Lebanon. The State Dept. releases reports on places around the world everyday warning Americans what areas are experiencing hostilities or might potentially be dangerous. If you go to one of these places shouldn't you find out first how dangerous it could potentially be? Isn't it your responsibility once you're there to have a plan for escape? Don't look to Bush to get you out- consult the local embassy. Is it me or are these people a bunch o' whiners?

I just read this statement in an article I read only a few minutes ago. I attached the link below.

I am pretty pissed about this. How much does it cost?
Why in the hell would a US citizen need to reimburse it's govorment to be evacuated?

I know they are being waived the fee but why in any case would anyone have to pay. Is it not the govornments responsibility to look after its people? Is it because they are not on US soil? I know people would be allowed to pay after the fact.

Is this why over half of the US citizens in Lebanon chose not to be evacuated?

Don't blame this on Bush I am sure it has been the case for a long time. I am just curious why and how.

Before I am stoned as some nut conspiracy theorist, I challenge you to research and think for yourself. I have read the 9/11 commission report, (http://www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report.pdf) I have done my research. Ask yourself a few questions
Who profited from 9/11? (Think about this next time you are at the pump putting gas in your SUV)
Why was only one person ever put on trial?
Why did WTC#7 fall?
Why did only three steel reinforced buildings in history, built to withstand a direct hit from an aircraft, collaspe from a fire, and after less then an hour?
How can a 747 hit the pentagon and leave no or little wreakage and only a small hole in the side of the building?
Why were all four planes flying at less than 50% passenger capicity for a transcontinental flight where the vast majority of other trans flights that day were near 90% and over?
How did the FBI know the identity of the "hijackers" only hours after the attacks, and why are some still alive and well?

I was raised by smart college educated repubs. my grandmother (now in her late 80's) was in politics and even worked for the nixon campaign~and has a cardboard standup of GW in her study. I read and pay attention to poilitics twice as much as any other person in my family (other than my alzheimers afflicted granny ~ bless her heart). All arrows point to me being a republican, but every day, I wake up and am proud to be a democrat. Other than some friendly teasing from my grandmother and dad, my family hears me out when I differ from them in many issues. why am I not a repub, and why are others so hostile with those who differ fromthem? im guilty of this to from time to time also. please only real and thoughtful answers.

Why is nothing absolute and rock solid being done about it. I know American citizens contact Congress all the time and voice their opinons, but they dont listen.
Drug lords fire on our officers, but why cant we engage and destroy the enemy???
It just seems odd, if someone was firing on me, I'd make sure I dealt with the problem with return fire.
