scotlands population is under 5 m and is falling, due, to constant emigration (despite being reminded constantly how wonderful the place is) and the appalling poor health and life expectancy due to the most gross diet of mainly lard (essential for frying everything), total lack of fruit (they are mostly fruit-intolerant)smoking(some think it is compulsory) and of course drink.
Oh and did I mention that Scotland is the most toothless nation on earth? No not politically, although one could draw comparisons, but teeth-wise: they share the wonderful distinction of having the worst dental health in the U.K. and also it is the heart attack centre of Britain (don't know if the lard element comes in here). However, credit where credit is due, contrary to popular myths they are not mean - in fact when it comes to giving to world appeals etc, they are one of the most charitable people in Britain. In addition they do have a great sense of humour and can charm the birds out of the trees when they put their minds to it. So if there is anyone still reading this, even an Englishman can praise you and having had to endure your comments throughout the world cup you will know that this has not been easy on my part. And yes, I have many Scottish Friends, who I may say are very loyal. So please, don't slag me off too much!!

And the Prime Minister of UK is Scottish born and the Chancellor of the Exchequer is Scottish and the Home Secretary is Scottish and what I want to know is "Do the Scots run the UK by remote control and their own country 'hands on' or is it the other way round?"

I love scotland, just not the people sometimes. I love walking up the mountains away from the cities and the drudge of city life.... there's nothing better. I appreciate my country, I just wish others would too.

I thought that it was only 25 million worldwide. It wouldnt be such a bad thing if some of them came back because we have a declining population.
