I have friends who work as border patrols and most of them only have a highschool diploma but they have to support a family and make a living of it. If no more illegal aliens would cross the border they will loose their jobs and how they dont have many skills I guess they will have to take the jobs, of once the ilegals had, in the farms, as picking up fruits and vegetables. But I wonder if they would like to work long hours in the fields and of course how they are USA CITIZENS they will have to get pay more for that and WE, as US citizens we will have to work harder and spend more money in croseries and other goodies because nobody will work in the fields or in a company without benefics and under the minimun wage but no longer we will have to worry about any illegals coming in to the counrty. We will just have to eat less and spend less or even a better idea just grow or own vegetables and make our own cloths ...GOD BLESS AMERICA

I've a friend applied for Canadian student visa in India. Visa officer rejected him and did not give him visa. He wants to know how long his records will be kept in Canadian Visa denial database? He wants to re-apply as soon as the record gets deleted. Is there such time table for visa applicant? For instance in USA, if you screw up with Credit card company by declaring bankruptcy, record only kept upto 7 years. After that no one knows what happened before. Is there similar thing in canadian Immigration?

I am travelling to Europe in May - the UK, Germany, and maybe somewhere else. My passport was issued in '99 and is still valid for 2 years, but, as it was a replacement for a lost passport it was consular issued abroad and is not machine readable. If I understand correctly, the machine readable requirement does not apply to US citizens?

I only need this passport to get out of and return to the US - I am a dual citizen and can use a different passport in Europe.

Thanks.

Most people can't read or write shellscript either; does that make it wrong?

My husband is currently incarcerated in Texas. We are married but the problem is that he has been deported before. We have two sons together. Immigration has him held on illegal entry charges. I was curious as to wether anyone knew of any organizations that helped with these particular circumstances.....

I have tried the recommended route of getting my fiance here through the K1 route and all I get from the State Department is a non-commital "duh" after 16 months. I have been approached by lawyers who promise but my opinion of most lawyers is that they are pre-politicians or liars before they become skilled liars. I have received advice from many which does absolutely nothing to aid either myself of my fiance. What I have not gotten is help from my elected representatives, the state department, or people here that seem to believe the worst of people. Admittedly, I am coming to much the same conclusion about the immigration policy in my country. Should I just suck it up and move there and finally get to be with my fiance in a sunnier, happier, and less troubled it seems to me, clime?

work for just 3 seasons more in the farms. I think the farmers should have to pay wages above those permitting workers to access social services, or WE are making up the difference in their wages. And what about the impact on the schools?

I think easier temporary visas are the way to go, personally.

What do you think?

During the 80's, the government had no problem raiding black innercity neighborhoods in which thousands of black youth were given criminal records. Why doesn't the government protect the border instead of harrassing our own citizens?
