The sheik said on Egyptian television that Muslims were more entitled to live in Australia than those descended from convicts, and called white Australians "the biggest liars" and "undemocratic". "We (Muslims) came as free people. We bought our own tickets. We are entitled to Australia more than they are."
OK Has anyone who answered this question read the comments made by the Sheik (as above) or been to Australia - I find it hard to beleive that this Sheik lives in Australia as he DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT!
Yes Australia was started as a Penal Colony... do you know what sort of crimes these convicts had committed? Not murders! Most had stolen food to feed their starving families in overpoulated London. They were put on Hulks in the Thames River and finally sent to Australia.
I am an eighth generation Australian and have no convinct blood lineage - however I would be PROUD if I did as those convicts suffered immensely for pitiful crimes and created a nation which today is a wonderful country, and the only country I care to call home! Many Autralians like myself only have ancestry from Free Settlers who came here by choice from Britain and Europe, many during the Potato Famine of Ireland. The muslims in this country are not the only ones who 'paid for their tickets'.
Over the years Australia has become a country where similarly displaced and persecuted immigrants could make a new home. We all share that common bond - thats what makes us Australian! This Sheiks comments are very un-Australian.
The Sheik who has made these comments does not understand our convict heritage! I have been to many countries and Australia is one of the most accepting countries in the world. Regardless of your beliefs, background, colour, gender, sexual preference or disability you are entitled to fair and equal treatment. Of course there are individulas in every country who do not share these beliefs however they are a minority - sadly they will grow in number if people like this Sheik make stupid and ignorant comments which stir up a dislike for Muslims like this.

It seems he would be a fine specimen of the men that created Australia. A common theif that the rest of the world doesn't want to have to worry about. I'd say leave him there. He's home.

I think he should be deported, all muslims from Australia & all from the west, too.
No Muslim should be living in the west or allowed to come to the west anymore.
We have had enough of their SH*T !
