After the middle of January they will stop you coming back if you don't have a passport. Unless you are going to stay, better get one first.

It would make no sense for anyone to stop you. Border patrols are hired by the United States to guard against Mexicans. Mexico doesn't have any border patrols because it's highly unlikely that anyone would want to sneak into Mexico. They probably would welcome you more than they would reject you anyways. However the border patrol does have the right to stop you and arrest you or give you a ticket for leaving the United States without letting them know. The immigration wants to know everything so it's likely that you can get in trouble.
Good luck.

As long as you stay within 38 miles of the interior of Texas you will probably not be bothered. Border Patrol has stations set up about 38 miles in the interior of Texas. So, you could live well in any Texas border town.

Illegal immigrationin in Mexico is a serious crime and the convicted are sent to prison for a long time. Kinda makes those who cry racism and xenophobia here when the topic of a fence is raised look foolish.

When you cross into Mexico...your car may be stoped..they do not want guns comming into their country...not even a bullet..It is easy to cross...At about 11 miles in you will be stoped again and will have to tell them why you are there...how long will you be staying..there is a tourist visa and you must have a Visa card.

No, you can just walk across the bridge between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez. You have to pay a small toll and go through a U.S. checkpoint on the way back though.

A Congressman did it with elephants and a mariachi band - and came back. No one seemed to have a problem at all with it except some animal rights types who said the elephant was exposed to ticks.

Yes, they put you in the White Jacket that tie your arms. Then this Psychoanalyst talks to you like you crazy and they put you on drugs and lock you in a padded room. Then at night when everyone gone home the night staff take turns visiting you in the dark.

You can cross easily into Mexico from any point of America. One should be worried about the ease of crossing over into America(illegally).
