Native peoples lived in this land for over 7,000 years. Some estimates put this at 15,000 years.

Europeans came about 500 years ago and broke almost every treaty made with the Native nations. Now we complain that Mexicans cross the border. Huh?

To me - every American, except First Nations people, are immigrants.

at 0-one-hundred hours this A.M. "Famed biologist found masturba@ting on the U.N. Plaza"

"I don't know what came over me," said a passing stranger. "I was kneeling in an unusual position outside the U.N. when I was suddenly exposed to a change in the weather." A spokesman for the Professor Pancha said in an earlier statement, "He's had it hard of late." The Prof. was remanded in a customs shed off Staten Island "for his own good," a policeman remarked to a crowd of drunk journalists. "People of this caliber should be eaten alive," said a Republican men'sroom attendant. "It's people like that who make NewYork interesting, and they must be deterred."Those were the days, my friend. Why is it when you ask a question about illegal immigration do so many people say Mexico is poor and we should help them? First, Mexico is not a poor country. There is plenty of money. It is not, however in the hands of the people. The general population is very poor, however, I fail to see how this is American's fault or responsibility.

Second, why is it that so many people use the current immigration situation as a "carte blanche" to criticize ALL Mexicans even those whose parents came here legaly?

I know that is two questions...sorry..answer both or either. Thanks.

and even Social Security benefits paid for by American taxpayers?
. Do you believe that high levels of illegal immigration are putting fiscal strains on state and local governments, depressing wages for low-income workers, and displacing Americans in the job market?. Do you support efforts by some lawmakers to offer amnesty, jobs, benefits, even citizenship to illegal immigrants?
Do you believe in more of a "get-tough" approach to curbing illegal immigration (i.e., closing our borders, denying illegal immigrants benefits, and deporting those caught by authorities)?
Do you believe that illegal immigration is a homeland security issue? Are you concerned with current illegal immigration levels - today there are an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States, with as many as 500,000 arriving each year?. Do you believe uncontrolled illegal immigration poses a security threat to the United States?. Do you believe millions of illegal immigrants deserve welfare benefits, free health care and education, and even Social Security benefits paid for by American taxpayers? Why is it that...

if a Mexican tries to protect their culture they are a hero.
if a white tries to protect their culture they are a racist.

if a Mexican fights for the use of Spanish they are applauded.
if a white fights for the use of English they are bigoted.

if a Mexican does what they think is best for their family it is condoned.
if a white does what they think is best for their family they are insensitive.

if Mexico wants to protect it's borders with stiff immigration laws, they are a sovereign nation.
if America wants to protect it's borders with stiff immigration laws, we aren't allowed to do it because a statue given to us by France dictates our immigration policy.

If a Mexican has 10 children and collects welfare for them, it is condoned.
If an American has 10 children and collects welfare, they are lazy.

If a Mexican makes a hateful comment against whites, it's because they're repressed.
If an American makes a comment against Mexicans, they're racist.

The American dream of home ownership, complete with the white picket fence, is alive and well for those who break our laws and break down our fences to get in.

While law-abiding homebuyers must supply airtight proof of identity, legal residence and a Social Security number to lenders, illegal alien purchasers need only supply a "taxpayer identification number" (TIN) issued by the Internal Revenue Service. No criminal background check is required before applying for a TIN, which many banks now accept from illegal alien customers as a primary form of identification.

That's just the tip of the illegal alien homeowners' iceberg. The Post failed to note that Federal Housing Administration-approved loans through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development do not require lenders to obtain proof of citizenship or legal permanent residence. These FHA/HUD programs, primarily targeting minorities and first-time homebuyers, are federally insured and require minimal down payments.
