I just came in from overseas.. they have a certain type of cigarrets that arent sold here. Can I get a friend to mail them to me?

what if someone lives over seas and say you want a tobacco product that is sold in the US.. is it still illegal for them to ship some to you even if you can just buy some at a gas station?

No, it is illegal. Shipping companies, such as the national postal services, UPS, DHL, FedEx do not allow to ship tobacco products. To import or export one need licences, which are only given to corporations. Sorry.

Why don't you go back overseas, if you don't like the rules here?

Tobacco is subject to federal, state and local taxes. You can only buy what is available commercially in stores, and don't have any contraband tobacco shipped anywhere, either in or out.

exactly what kind of tobacco prods are you wanting to send? there are taxes and such, I doubt it. Check with the tobacco and firearms folks.

you can but if tha package is searched my customs you could face charges for trafficking a taxed commodity

Yes you can ship anything "legal" to the US from anywhere but Cuba.
