So many questions....

1. All the benefits you speak of were created for "US citizens". Not illegals.

2. It is proven that hiring illegals drives down wages and eliminates jobs for "US citizens".

3. Illegals ARE illegal. You can't let them break the law to get & stay here, but expect them to follow all the other laws we have.

4. Amnesty did not work in the Reagan era and it will not work now. Obviously. It increases the # of illegals that cross the border, period.

5. There are more than enough laws on the books to protect "US citizens" from illegals. The legal system does not work because the govt (yours & mine), does not want it to work. They claim illegals are good for the economy, but how can it be, when 70 - 80% of the wages they earn goes out of the country (to Mexico)? If our govt was serious about protecting "US citizens", it would round them up, fingerprint them & deport them.

6. Homeland Security is one of the biggest, bureauocratic, corrupt nightmares ever created by the US govt. Seconday only to the Federal Reserve Bank, FICA & the IRS. All crimes against US citizens.

7. Our country will not be safe until the govt stops interferring in border security and refuses to deport known illegals back to Mexico. They refuse to enforce border security & they refuse to enforce the laws already on the books re illegal immigration, including prosecution of persons who hire illegals.

8. It is illegal for illegals to own housing in the US & yet, many have purchased homes. Why?

It is the US govt that estimates 12 million illegals, many others state it is probably closer to 30 million +. Our borders aren't safe, the citizens aren't safe, our jobs aren't safe, our 'tax paid' benefits aren't safe. Wake up America! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! Vote for anyone who REALLY promises immigration control as well as enforcing laws already on the books. Write & call your Senate or House members daily, and tell them how you feel & why. Stop this insanity.

Why not? most of these immigrants are hard workers, more than americans. Just think on this, if every of these immigrants spend $5 a day for living, how much money is moving around to help the US economy in daily basis because they are here? do you want to get rid of that?
Displacing the job market? I don't think so.. .they are generating financial movement on the economic scheme. Is better to take advantage instead of create a racist crisis.
Regarding security issues... illegal immigration exist since very long time ago, even before 9/11 then you cannot make any relation with illegal immigration and terrorism. They are "different animals"

I've been an illegal alien in a few European and Caribbean countries and I got absolutely NO benefits... I couldn't even get a job that anyone could claim, so I worked on boats during the day and played piano in bars at night and was always looking over my shoulder to see if the authorities knew I was living in their country illegally.

At least I learned the languages of the countries I was lining in and I did my best to keep a low profile... the thought of marching with thousands of other illegal aliens in the streets of the capital and waving an American flag was just something I would never have considered doing.

Yes I believe that the amount of illegal immigrants is putting a strangelhold on the US. But I dont believe that they are raping us of our jobs, most places of business must have an employee that is not white. So if someone is turned down for a job that they are well qualified for, and a black or mexican guy gets the job instead, what would you consider that?

I do feel that if you want to come to the U.S., you should go through the process like everyone else, part of that process should be to speak english! Along with, drivers ed., insurance, basically everything we have to do and put up with, they should to. Equal treatment is what everyone is after now a days right?

I"m not against someone trying to make a better life for themselves. And I understand that other countries make it nearly impossible for them to become legal citizens of the USA before they actually get here. However, I do believe that illegal aliens should have to follow certain guidelines that American citizens do not for an extended period of time, such as searches into their background, surveillance (especially now), etc. I also believe that they should be given a loan (not a donation) for rent, groceries, etc. for 2 or 3 months in order for them to get on their feet. At the end of that time, they either start paying it back with interest AND tax or they get their butt shipped back where they come from. EVERYONE in this country can get a job if they want it whether its babysitting or mowing someone's lawn. Immigrants should have to prove that they are safe before they can be allowed to freely roam this country. If immigrants had to PAY BACK what the government gives them, do you think it would be that much of a problem? Most of them wouldn't even come here. But its the land of the free, everything the government gives them is free. And for the citizens its the land of the brave, so that we've brave enough not to smack them for taking all of their free crap for granted. I have no problems with immigrants who work, but what about those who work for cash but still mooch off the government? Don't tell me that they aren't here because they are. Not all immigrants get free stuff, but those that are are mooching off the system and should get a life.

To be honest, the law should really prohibit illegal immigrants here. That's where the problem begins.

But then you wouldn't exactly say that for a person whom you know to be a trustworthy, industrious, calm, collected, friendly, honest individual who is also an illegal immigrant. Believe you me, people like those exist.

So if benefits aren't there for all the illegal immigrants, wouldn't s/he also be included?

Besides, these people wouldn't remain in USA if they were bad people, they would go through some sort of scanning you know.

If you feel that they are steeling from tax payers why don't you legalize their status so that they can be part of the tax net...

Here is another way of looking at it. You took the land from the locals Looooooong ago and made it your own. Now they are doing the same. You set a good example.
As for health care. I think you should kill all old Americans lets say 55 or older they are draining the system. That way the young can have MORE for themselves. Once again Problem solved.

well freedom of expression.....i believe that illegals should have some type of help from us only because their are some illegals that have tax paying #'s called TIN # 's witch allow them to pay tax's too and this # allows them to do their income tax at the end of the year, every year...... so just like the government accepts illegals tax's he should help illegals....and maybe Americans shouldn't be so lazy and go out there and work hard like some illegals do........ therefor their wouldn't be any job depressing wage problems....... trust me their are not one American that would do what a immigrant will do to survive for example: pick tomatoes for 40cents a bucket, or pick lemons for 50 cents a bucket come-on be fore real here! Some of you people are so dumb saying that they do jobs that we wont do and without them no houses would be built, no fruit would be picked, and peoples grass wouldnt be cut. That is a whole load of ****. I guess before illegals came there werent any houses, or fruits and vegetables, or mowed grass. I think it's time to really start having the border fully enforced, and not just the one with Canada! LOL

Actually the region I see as the worst problem is the US/Mexico border. It's not the only way people get in, but it's the most frequently used/abused 'port' of entry. It's time we had it controlled, 'open borders' or no. Change is hard, but worthwhile.
