When looking up Congressional salaries, and US Government salaries as well as offices I noticed these positions.

Executive Assistant
Staff Assistant
Special Assistant
Personal Aide

I thought these were all pretty much the same, but apparently their different or they would not be listed as such. What is the formal difference and normal description of duties for each of these? I mean surely there is a difference and specific duties or they would not be standard salaried titles.

Also I noticed the Vice-President has a Director of Correspondence, and two Deputy Directors of Correspondence. Is that really necessary, what all does Correspondence cover?

Why should we rely on private firms who like to cut corners for profit to protect the public interest? Private and municipal airports relied on private security firms and they let us down, why expect anything different from private security firms guarding nuclear power plants? These last two Q's are stmts in the form of rhetorical questions intended to contextualize the Q in the Q-box. They are two reasons why I ask my Q. Do we have to wait for another catastrophe by terror attack at one of our nuclear power plants for Chertoff's Homeland Security Department to take action?

Shoudn't we be able to spy on them in the Bohemian Grove, the Bilderberg conferences, in the CFR meetings, Trilateral commission, and tap the phones of the powerful elite, so that we know what they are up to? I think David Rockefeller is a terrorist, and I would like to make a citizens arrest also...is it possible??

from centuries ago....Should we EVER expect any sort of peace in the Middle East? Will Persians and Muslims ever live in harmony? Will Israelis and Palestinians ever walk side by side? WILL THE MIDDLE EAST ALWAYS BE DIVIDED BY RELIGION? AND IF SO, WHAT CAN BE DONE DIPLOMATICALLY to restore this world to a peaceful state?

My govenor is an idiot, and she can't fix up this state at all. She says all the problems are because of of the president, but our state is in economic hell. If we don't get her tryed for the amount of damage she has done to our state, we may all have to leave. I'm not sure if we should impeach her, but alot of people want to do that to the president, and shes doing a far worse job then he has. I'm just sick of her, and I don't want her ruining my future, just cause incompetant people voted in this incompetent idiot. Please help.

No offense intended to the Indians here but at the time of independence India had a bustling population of 300 million people.

Now 60 years later India has a population, something in the order of 1 Billion people or 1 000 000 000.

Recently during the monsoon season about 300 million people (the population of India at Independence) are displaced or made into refugees in there own countries.

Albeit among those 300 million are people in India,Nepal and
Bangladesh respectively. But the vast MAJORITY are Indian.

You must accept that this figure of 300 million is currently the largest cause of refugees/internal displacement.

At this point India cannot provide for all its population causing the vast majority to be displaced or live in urban slums and Shantee towns.

Is the population of India so great that it can no longer provide for everyone.

Is india a failed state at all? Is there any hope? I hope so.
