Perhaps I'm missing something--If you're able to work, why the disability claim, mystifying--If you're disabled why does the welfare department require you to work, remarkable.

I don't know about the law, but it seems to me if you are looking to be on disability, and it looks like a good chance that you are eligible, if you DO go to work, then they will deny your claim because it is apparent to them that you don't need disability if you are able to do some sort of work.

Disability is for people who cannot work. The Welfare system is being pretty bureaucratic, and extremely stupid, or trying to be clever, by telling you that you have to work while waiting for disability.

What kind of lame brained government does that?

The welfare system is different know then what it was 10 or so years ago.........Honestly it is not a free ride... If they say you are capabale of work than you have to comply. The system has been so abused over the years, now it is unacceptable to not work unless you are half dead. I am sorry, but it is the truth.....I wish you luck..............

They cant force you to work but they don't have to give you welfare either.
If its the rule you need to work so many hours to qualify for welfare then you need to work until you get disability. Even people on disability can work a certain amoutn of hours.

No. But you won't get welfare. You can go to the job interviews and tell them what you cannot do. If they don't hire you, not your fault.

IF YOU ARE REFERRED BY A DOCTOR WHO IS TREATING YOU, THE SYSTEM DOES A BRIEF EVAL AND YOU WILL BE TOLD RIGHT AWAY IF YOU ARE EXPECTED TO LOOK FOR WORK OR NOT.
