Because the U.S.A. has lost its moral compass and rich heritage of fairness, integrity, honesty, and compassion.
Like the great Greek and Roman empires before us, hubris has set in and our own arrogance and avarice has overtaken our American values and human decency.
* Our federal government lies to its people just so a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists and power brokers can get richer through OIL and WAR PROFITEERING at any cost - even the cost of thousands of human lives;
* Our citizenry has become so materialistic that all we care about is 'things' and money;
* Our media has sacrificed its position as the honorable Fourth Estate and become a pawn in the manipulation of world events, all for the sake of profit;
* Our political leaders have abandoned their role as public servants and set themselves up as privileged royalty;
* Our celebrities, athletes and prominent citizens have stopped living to a higher standard, and - instead - set an example of moral decay, squander, squalor and decadence which people have come to idolize;
* Our nation disregards the importance of the delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals because such environmental commitment might interfere with the ability to make more money;
* Our highest institutions (banks, pharmaceutical firms, hospitals, insurance companies, and stock brokers) have bent under the weight of excessive profits instead of practicing humanity, compassion, good-heartedness and genuine care for customers, patients, and clients.

We have become a corrupted society - and, like all corrupted, hedonistic cultures, we will crumble. With U.S. taxpayers now being in debt to China for TRILLIONS of Bush's war dollars, it's only a matter of time before China becomes the next super power and the U.S. slides into a sea of economic chaos, human debris and moral stench. -RKO- 08/16/07
