I'm Italian and I'm so desperate for the point we have come to in my country, I'm really considering moving abroad for good,
There's nothing but a bleak outlook for young people, tons of euros wasted by politicians for their own interests, corruption, more taxes, less services, uncertain future, graduated young people exploited in call centers paid 500 euros per month and not able to afford moving out their parents house (you can't even afford food to live one month with 500 euros).

The situation is really serious, is the same in the US?

When Bush throws out things like "Crusades"
"you are with us or against us" "Axis of evil"
Then goes and invades Iraq even though weapons inspectors were allowed in. Does it surprise you that Iran is trying to build a nuke? I would be if I was them.

Current even mid-size sedans do not achieve 35mpg.
A new test is coming out next year that will reduce the estimated mileage of every vehicle. The Prius will most likely be rated at 40 or 45mpg after this change.
With SUVs and trucks included in this 35mpg average do you believe it will possible without a majority of vehicles produced being very small and lightweight?

I wonder if the reason was to bring blacks into the military.
I think the North was running out of soldiers and needed replacements and the fastest soloution was to allow black soldiers to serve in combat?
This is a real question that I am looking for an answer to.
Historians help me out here.

I get so tired of Republicans claiming "lower taxes" and "smaller government".

Did Bush really make a "smaller government"?

Did Bush really save you any money (if you weren't already rich)?

My student loans are now impossible for me to pay.
The only jobs in my area are telemarketing and fast food.

Bush's "conservative" America sucks.

When you watch the video footage you can clearly see his wife retreaveing a portion of his skull off of the trunk of the car. Any body knows the a gun shot from behind would cause a large exit wound in the front of the skull. That did not happen. If Jackie is retrieveing a portion of his skull from the trunck than he was shot from the front or the side not the back. What do you think?

There is a virtually global move towards creating new regional organisations and trade deals (such as NAFTA, Mercosur etc.) or redynamising existing regional bodies (EU, ASEAN, CARICOM, AU etc.). Why are states deciding to engage in this regional integration?

I have no problem that very few go hungry in America. In fact that is one of the things I love about our great nation. On the other hand, I am getting tired of seeing people with Lonestar Cards (food stamps in Texas) buy energy drinks or they have 5 tattoos. I am sick of capbale but lazy people stealing my tax dollars. I have no problem helping diabled people or shortly helping people who have just hit hard times. I think that people on food stamps and welfare should be given the bare minimum for life. No nice apartments that they can trash or buy junk food with food stamps. They should also have to work for the government. I don't care if they do absolutely pointless tasks as long as they are not sitting around stealing my money. Does anyone have other ideas to deal with welfare?

Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?

I'm just wondering. Seems since America is such a wonderful land, and the leader of the free world, this should be attainable.

If you have insurance, it's ok. My daughter just broke her arm, and it has been a fairly painless process for us (well, not her...she is broken!)

What about the uninsured folks?

What's your take on this American issue?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Shunned by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization, the Islamist group Hamas scored a publicity coup this week by defending its policies in Gaza with opinion pieces in two of the country's most influential newspapers on the same day.

The New York Times and The Washington Post gave space to Ahmed Yousef, a senior Hamas figure, on Wednesday to argue that the United States should not interfere in Gaza, where Hamas took control after six days of bloody fighting against Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah fighters.
