Politics is ruining the world, not the average citizen. Americans aren't infidels, but the US Government may be. American people arent bad according to Chavez. With the most recent interview by Barbara Walters, he likes Americans, just despises our government. He's entitled to his opinion. What are your thoughts, will our government be in better hands with a new president? Or will they just have to spend 4 or 8 years fixing our current problems. Will foreign policy play a big role, or will it slow down? i'm curious to gather your answers. Let's face it, i dont there is any one more hated in this world than our very own president.

that they are, by far, the most aid giving country in this world when this is just not the case? USA ranks number 15. Also, much of it's aid is only given if the people receiving the aid will spend that aid on US product. This is no way to help people get on their feet and the aid then is pssed back to American companies.

This is the same crap that USA's United Fruit Company in Guatamala. They hired local workers and paid them poverty wages that was in money which was only recognized at the company store. This meant that the farmers and people living outside of United Fruits got anything out of the company's being there. When the Guatamalan government wanted to change this the great giver of the US stepped in, engineered the downfall of the government, and backed up American Interests by "protecting United Fruits".

The same thing is true of much of the US "aid" "given" to impoverished countries

The US Constitution provides for review/revision every 20 years. We don't do this as our founding fathers intended. Why not?

Most people say they should cuz they have really no need for pennies anymore. People drop them on the ground but don't bother to pick them up. Plus, they just serve as spare change.

I think they should not.
If they eliminate the penny that would lead to net totals rounding out to the nearest 5 or 10. that would cause major inflation and that I do not want. We have inflated enough.
Regular sized candy bars used to be 59 cents when I was a kid and now it's like 79 cents. If the penny was eliminated, the candy bars would be rounded to $1. then $1.10

We all know about Dollar Bill Jefferson, you know the guy who had the Coast Guard take him by his flooded home in NOLA so he could pick up some cold cash from his freezer, but have you heard about Corinne Brown from FL?

Who bought and paid for this crook, perhaps the most corrupt member of Congress?

In 1835 Tocqueville wrote, “the American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.” Sadly, that day has long since come. - Helen E. Krieble http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=19812

Is the republic lost, has the public succumbed to bribery by congress? As long as congress can legally take our money and give it to others we are in a state of decline and revolution is upon us.

The only control we have today on congress is the vote which has proven to be for sale, just look at how many times the crook dollar bill jefferson has been re-elected. We must gain control of our country again and the ONLY way to do this is to remove from congress career politicians who will destroy our country. We must have term limits now.

To all you "politics as usual" Senators and Congress people. Start doing your jobs and stop wasting our money... or RESIGN!! we are sick of the crap. There are issues to address and if some of you aren't going to do the jobs you are elected for then we will get rid of you. No more "witch hunts". Stop now or else!!!

This is not a question of who should have or shouldn't have done what in the past. I watched the entire protest in DC on C-span yesterday, and not one speaker even attempted to answer this question. They just said we need to get out and dismantle the war machine and shouted slogans in unison. Listening to the speakers, you would think they believe that Iraq will live in peace if only we leave. But I wouldn't want to assume that is their position without hearing more.

Without name-calling or slogans from either side, I would like to know the rest of the plan, after the "Leave Iraq Now" part has been completed.
