Considering that several states are, or are considering, implementing universal health care programs, should we wait, say 5 years, to study how those programs work before implementing a federal health care program(if we should at all). After all, universal health care will offer both positives and negatives to our health care system, and wouldn't it be smart to understand them before we experience them across the country?

As in not a republic democracy, like the U.S, but where every decision is made by the people and no one else. Not where people vote for who decides for them, (and those people could end up making decisions opposite of what the people want) but where the people, truly, run the country.

I am not ranting even though it may seem like it. This is a real question and I don't mean to offend anyone.

How pompous of the new Congress to decide to take off for a football game. I wonder how many other days they'll deemed fit to take off. I will blame those that helped put her in when all hell breaks loose. The freakin republicans need to speak up. What's sad is I could not find information on this on any liberal sites. I was reading in the Washington Post today that law makers in Britain were seriously considering it. That is, they might allow it to be the rule of law for British Muslims. Everyone else will be ruled by "common law" but the muslims will have a different set of laws.

What do you think of that. Frankly, it scares me just to think of it, but I dont live there, so I guess its not my problem. What say you?

(for those 16-18)
