How pompous of the new Congress to decide to take off for a football game. I wonder how many other days they'll deemed fit to take off. I will blame those that helped put her in when all hell breaks loose. The freakin republicans need to speak up. What's sad is I could not find information on this on any liberal sites. Hmmmm, I wonder why.
Go ahead libs, do what you do best bash instead of looking at what all of you created. Who the hell do they think they are? We as Americans have given them all too much power, but sadly, the dems abuse that power and the republicans are too chickenshi* to say or do anything. Now, libs, don't give me this crap about how corrupt rep. are, the lib party is the most corrupt ever. Rep. admit it, libs don't and hide it.

Oz- I'm not 14, I'm well educated and have common sense, which most of you libs lack. By the way, you must not have read my whole post. I said I COULD NOT find any liberal sites with this information. If you can by all means show it. If not, put up or shut up. You dems just can't handle any other news or opinions out there that are not politically correct and biased.

So, I see the double standard. You guys can rant but I can't. grow up. As far as football, I love football (go Patriots!!!!!!), but c'mon, so far for the bipartisan agenda huh? I guess some of you are right though, the less they work the less we'll get screwed.

Yes, to take off for a football game is a poor excuse not to work. But, then again the Republican Congress worked about 90 days out of the year.

Not really, If they take a day off for relaxing to watch a football game good for them. I know all of you people think that they are causing so many problems with this country. But do any of you think that you have the ability to run a country? They will make mistakes no matter what. Its human. These people are working hard to make sure that 300 million people can enjoy all the freedoms that we do in the United States. They deal with the problems in this country and are expected to deal with the problems of almost 200 other countries in the world because they head the government of the most powerful country in the world. I dont think that it is very bad for them to take time off for 1 day to watch the Ohio State-Flordia game. They work hard, i dont care if they take some time off.

Hey what about Pelosi's first 100 hours promise? Or Stenny Hoyer's promise that Congress would work 5 days a week? Oh yeah, they are both Democrats that made that promise. Don't worry, nothing important is being worked on, this is a better use of their time.

I would be more outraged about members of congress trying to get a date with a young male page. Then have all of the Elephants sweep it under the rug. In order to keep all the peanuts in the house....

Realistically, a football game really isn't something to get upset about.

Solicitation to an underage teenager and finding grounds for a cover-up is something to be upset about !

Any day that the congress is not doing anything, is a day where our country won't go farther down the toilet. I hope there are more games, holidays, parades, festivals ETC That will keep those meddlesome busy-bodies from interfering in thie great country.

I don't see it as a liberal vs. conservative problem because both political parties are corrupt beyond help. America needs a 3rd party.

PS>If you want to see political corruption in action, look no further than the Ohio state GOP.

Just my .02 cents

definitely detecting some rage in your above post. it's just football, relax. football is like an united states tradition. look, i'm republican, and this offends me not a bit. so, instead of yelling at all of us americans (and calling us names), maybe you could chose to write a nasty letter to congress. you would offend a lot less people, that way.

(p.s: what person in his/her right mind is going to be to think logically when they're missing the big game?)

I know it's stupid, we shouldn't have any parties, then maybe someone actually able to do the job could get voted in. There's so many problems, such as with the electoral college, and with other people's decisions. It's just stupid when people bash others, make up lies, and find tiny faults, and denieing their own.

It's nonsense to blindly believe in one party over another. The Republicans admit it? Oh, do they? Then why did nobody speak up about the Mark Foley thing for over a year? Oh, yeah, because they were trying to hide it.
