I have just seen the 1963 movie "Dr. Strangelove", about nuclear ("nukular") war bewtween the USA & Russia. Focusing on the US president and pentagon staff, it is astonishing to see the similarity between characters portayed then and the real ones now. If you get the chance to see it (first time, or again) it's a really sobering look at whose in charge and how frail thay all are.

Should we privatize time? Think about it, right now it's government controlled, they're telling us what time is and we're suppose to be a democracy. If we privatized it, we could make time that fits the people- instead of trying to make people to fit the time. Some people like to work, some like to spend time with their families, and some just like to sleep- like me- this way we could all have the time for what is most important. And since it would be privatized, they could tax it. ... just think about how much time we waste with the current system, we could do better.
