since most Americans don't consider family values to include sticking it in the butts of underage boys? At least Clinton did it with an adult woman.

I'm in England, by the way, and I find it hard to follow foreign politics, but I'm interested! Can anyone explain the sort of basic policies and stances of the Republicans and Democrats, and maybe the Libertarians? Nothing too in depth, just an overview! thanks.

Between 1450 and 1850 at least 12 million Africans were taken across the notorious Middle Passage of the Atlantic - mainly to colonies in North America, South America, and the West Indies. The Middle Passage was integral to a larger pattern of commerce developed by European countries. European traders would export manufactured goods to the west coast of Africa where they would be exchanged for slaves. The Slave Trade was abolished in 1865.

Do you think that we should aplogise for something that our ancestors did? Should we also keep on aplogising to ethnic groups for things that happened many many years ago. I personally don't think that we should have to. You may feel that my question is contraversial but I feel that it happened and we can't change what happened and people should just accept that and get on with it.

What do you think?

but that fear doesn't seem justified when it is obvious that the materials to make a dirty bomb, have already existed in both countries for some time. Isn't all this hype, the same sort of hype that took us all to war in Iraq?

These people are able to work, and do jobs for cash. They collect a welfare check, food stamps, etc. Some have even bilked local churches out of charity money and food. One couple got divorced so they could get benefits. Of course they are still living in the same house. I don't understand why these liars and thieves are not prosecuted. Maybe because they are indigent, and it will cost the state more money. I just think that it is wrong that the rest of us working people have to put up with this. Knowing that a portion of our paychecks go to these thieves. Maybe I am just wasting my breath ranting about it. What can be done. I have mentioned it to the police and they act like I am just starting trouble.

Chicago Democratic Congressman Mel Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud and lies to the Federal Election Commission. He also was convicted of having sex with an underage campaign volunteer. But Jesse Jackson added Reynolds to Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll.

Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute pardon spree

In 1989, male prostitute Stephen L. Gobie admitted that Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., knew that Gobie had operated a prostitution service out of Frank's Capitol Hill apartment. Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, confirmed that he had Gobie as a roommate in his apartment. Frank said he fired Gobie when he learned that clients were visiting his apartment.

When former Rep. Gerry Studds (D-MA) admitted having sex with a teenage page, nobody in the Democratic leadership demanded he resign, nor did he offer to resign. He was re-elected 6 times.

What must Jesus think about the conditions of the world today? I see people killing each other, ripping each other off, cheating, lying, double crossing each other, using symantics to circumvent contracts and agreements to take what isnt theirs, countries destroying one another, the rich wanting more and more, taking what little the poor have left, not caring about one another. What was Jesus's comment? Love one another, as you love yourself, and love your God above all else. Where is the humanity spoken by Jesus? Where is the compassion? Where is the guilt of those who have done this world wrong, the remorse for the children killed in needless wars as countries vie to rule the world, with threats of nuclear wars, of biological weapons, and mass murder? How much pain has He had to endure because of us? Time is NOT linear, it does not run in a straight line, but circles upon itself, over and over. Jesus did not die on the cross, but is still dying on the cross, on a daily basis.

I just filled up at costco at 2.59 in Northern NV. However, the newspaper gives averages, and the average cost for my city is $2.72 while the average of NV is $2.65 and the average of the nation is $2.38. Now, how does that add up that I am paying, on average, over 30 cents more than the national average... that means people are paying 30 cents less than than the average as well, correct? Can someone tell me why this is and how is it the government's fault for MY city being so much higher? Thanks
