I think both parties are excellent at listening to members of the electorate that say what they want to hear. Otherwise they are both deaf to our ideas.

Republicans manipulate the electorate. They are uber attentive to the polls, and if they are losing points, they make meaningless gestures and speeches to temporarily hang on to voters. Any real change in course only occurs when massive defections are threatened by a powerful lobby group or more normally by a so called Christian group.

Democrats listen, but they still need help figuring out how to respond. Having more power, a majority or two, will get them on track. They mean well, and usually have their constituents and the nation's interest at heart.

Easy answer - none of them do!

Sure they come sleazing around every other year, promising all kinds of stuff to get your vote, then **poof**~! they're gone, so are thoughts of honoring their election promises until next election time.

And the reason they were unable to get their promises enacted is because of a) Wascally Wepubwicans or b) Dithguthting Democwat-th.

Our political nobility class is really quite tedious.
