When it's wrong...it's wrong...and Republicans don't stand for it. That's the difference between us and Libs. Look at all the immoral acts perpetrated by Liberal politicians and they are still in office.

But BTW, there is a rapidly growing allegations online that the text messages were a page prank because they knew Foley "liked" boys...They were just joking around online and the messages got picked up by Democratic operatives. Won't that be a kick in the head for the Dems if it is proven. Maybe that is why the page hired a lawyer....he knew the prank was about to get busted....hmmmmm?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely believe Foley is a creep, but I think this may very well backfire on the Dems if it is proven that this "scandal" was a political dirty trick to influence the election.
In other words, it was OK to them that Foley was gay, until they could put it to their advantage.

Neither, they are upset that he got caught, and exposed. All the pages are 16 to 17 years old. It doesn't matter what sex they are. The bill and resulting law that made it illegal, to do what Mark Foley did, was sponsored by Mark Foley. I expect the republicans to introduce an exemption to this law for members of Congress. In my opinion Dennis Hastert is just as guilty and should be charge with knowingly aiding and abetting this crime against a minor. How many more does he know about and is protecting.

Wrong. We're pissed because he violated a public trust. Personally, if his 'targets' were over 18--who cares what he does in his private life. He used his office and position to sexually harass subordinates (no matter what the sex they were)............a pig by any definition (no matter how high an office he holds). He did the right thing by resigning. And it's Dems who give "atta boys" to their party's "swine" for getting some at work. Republicans have the decency to step down.

Come on strong human beings, ok the unfavourable fellow, Mark Foley, is kaputt. And for confident the flaws he has performed are reprehensible and that i guess many belongings you, i and all individuals have performed we sense sorry about. I merely desire the folk who shout homicide loudest received't fall of their pedestal quicker or later. Activists gay or in the different case continually love to do the: " I informed you so, i'm more beneficial positive than thou". This from a fellow who dislikes, gays, paedophiles and hypocrites. A fellow who likes a schooner or 2, does no longer recommendations Catholics yet dislikes the holier than you recommendations-set. Oi, stay and enable stay !

The page was NOT 18 . that is a myth. It has been reported that a lot of gay understaffers were protecting Foley .. not reporting the problem with the pages. I don't care that Foley is gay ... I could care less. But did you read what he said to the page on www.abcnews.com ?? And that is only what has been released so far. There is no excuse for his behavior. Period. Good Luck ! :)

The fact he is gay means nothing to me. The fact he emailed a man means nothing to me.

He emailed and sexually harrased a Page. Fraternization is not accepted behavior. Sexual harrasment is not accepted behavior. I am just glad he resigned seeing as I would have demanded his resignation.

Can't say the same for Dems though. Democratic politicians have done the same thing or worse and gotten reelected. Go figure huh?

I am republican, and I disagree with anyone doing anything during their Work hours that is not WORK related especially when we as tax payers are paying the bill. I also am tired of any political party pointing their finger at another. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG =)

Now that I've heard it was an 18 year old, I don't care one way or the other. My problem was with the contact with a minor. That is never excusable no matter what the sex.
