He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not
spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"
Ollie replied, "Yes.
The senator continued, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"
"No, sir," continued Ollie.
"No?why not?" the senator asked.
"Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir."
"Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned.
"By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered.
"Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that
much?"
"His name is Osama bin Laden, sir"
At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't, Why are you so afraid of this man? because sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of." and what do you recomend we do about him"? well sir, if it was up to me, I would have him assasinated." the senator firmly disagreed w/ that approach...By the way, the senator was Al Gore.

The selection of judges is one of the most important tasks in a democracy. Should it be done by the president or by a team of experts? Who should be a member of such a commission and how should they themselves be chosen?

I am a well-known advocate for reductions in pork barrel spending and corporate welfare. Citizens Against Government Waste, the Concord Coalition, and Taxpayers for Common Sense, three nonpartisan organizations dedicated to those causes, have repeatedly commended him for his actions.

I have long been an advocate for creating a system of universal health care in America.

I was the only senator to vote against the USA PATRIOT Act when first voted on in 2001.

On July 14, 2005, I introduced a bill to the Senate that would ban lobbyists from giving gifts to senators and impose a $50,000 fine for violating the ban; force lawmakers to sign statements saying that lobbyists did not pay their travel expenses; forbid lawmakers from traveling on corporate jets.

I was one of 23 US senators to vote against H.J. Res. 114, which authorized President George W. Bush to use force against Iraq.

Dubya gave Saddam a time limit to stand down and Saddam didn't do it, on what grounds and evidence of WMD did Dubya based his invasion of Iraq on? Was it a justifiable cause? Does loosing 2400+ American Soldiers enough justification for this war?

Fair and equal treatment and rights to a civil, lawful union between two adults who wish to make a better living by sharing each others life wether they are male/male, female/female or male/female. Without a reigious bias that would degrade the civil liberties of all Americans heterosexual or homosexual.
