NO... the government has no direct interest in the pharmaceutical industry... but the politicians DO have an interest in all the payoff money the GET from that industry, however.

This whole thing about Americans needing to have a passport to re-enter the country from Mexico and Canada has more to do with the drug industry being paid off by the Bush Administration for the Part "D" medicaire drug coverage than it does about terrorism, but Americans are too dumb to see it.

No, but the American Medical Association is the largest political lobbying group in the country, and of course they work both sides of the aisle.

you would think so if the figures they pay the pharmaceutical companies for supplying the medication to the nhs are correct as we are told. perhaps not shares but a nice xmas box.??

I think its the other way around.....pharmaceutical companies have stock in our government.
