Angela Merkel is the Chancellor of Germany. The president is Horst Köhler.

Germany does actually have a person with the title of President, but it is not like our president. Germany's leader is called the Chancellor ("Kanzler" in German). The present Chancellor is a woman, Angela Merkel. She was elected not long ago.
