I for the life of me cannot think of one positive thing that George Bush has done for this country as president and the only thing that I think that he can do that is positive is resign.

The people before me on this question are a bunch of idiots. And, you're not far behind for asking this kind of a question. The President cut taxes, not just for the rich, but for everyone. He created and implemented NCLB, which has had both qualitative and quantative impacts on our education systems in this country. He responded to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, steered the country through a recession, and orchestrated the successful invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq to depose brutal regimes. Democracy is flourishing in those countries now.
On a positive note, he survived having his picture taken with Shelia Jackson Lee... he should get the medal of honor for that. . .

The current unempolyment rate is lower than the average rate of unemployment of any of the past four decades. Recently, former President Clinton praised Bush's record on fighting the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Clinton has also praised Bush's stand on immigration. Both had thoughts about fixing social security, but you guys don't really read any newspapers, do you?

Such a simple question. There have been no positive impacts unless you call his being an inspiration to the mentally challenged as being a positive impact. The man is totally inept, a fool and an idiot. Thanks to him, America is no longer as respected in the world as it used to be.
Wait.....just thought of one: people will now appreciate the Democratic Party and will elect Democrats this fall and as President again in '08. With poll ratings - depending upon the poll you look at - at somewhere between 30 - 40% - people have finally seen the ineptness of this clown and will vote to get rid of his kind in the next elections.

Less terrorism in America and utilizing the military to fight terrorists in a land that is far from our shores. He has helped to influence more terrorists to become active now and lose a firm focus on their long term goals of Isamisizing the world. It seems now they are more concerned with destruction than conversions. I'd much rather they blow some stuff up than try to convert my children and neighbors to Islam and take over the world.
