Although I did not agree with the Bush motives, I avidly support our soldiers. I do this for our country and its safety. Being a Vietnam veteran, I hate war and the end results of Americans fighting each other over the war. I remember the Vietnam War protests; they hurt me deeply.
But we did not attack first; the extremists started the war in the name of Allah. The fact is, most Muslims hate the people that attacked us. No mission too difficult; no sacrifice too great; duty first. God bless America; and God bless our soldiers.

The sacrifice of troops means nothing to the present 'government'.
They will not be happy until they have total control of all middle-Eastern oil.
I feel extremely sorry for your son, as he is almost bound to have been affected by the radiation from the depleted uranium (DU) which is now lying all over Iraq and Afghanistan, and Kosovo, and Kuwait. Thousands more will die after their service as a result of this horrible, and illegal, weapon.
All other countries are well aware of the problem, but it is being kept away from the American media. If everyone knew the truth, then no soldier would ever go there again. Studying this and spreading the truth is probably the best way of saving the lives, and horrible deformities of thousands of young Americans

You must be going through hell worrying about your dear son and wondering when he'll be home and not have to go back to Iraq again. My heart goes out to you and your son too.
Actually we have lost a hell of a lot more then 60,000 over there. In Florida during the middle of the night the planes fly in with badly wounded and dead and the world never sees or hears anything about them because it would deter others from enlisting as well as stir up a lot of trouble for the whitehouse and they surely don't want that now do they.
This is something that the media isn't allowed to witness either but there are a few sneaks who have been there at those very late hours when the airports are very quiet and no one is around to see what's coming in on those planes. I promise you that this is fact and not fiction at all.

I can truely appreciate your concern, as it is a concern that has deeply thread itself within my own perspective as a member of the National Guard. However, before I answer your query, I must know if you would or wouldn't be willing, as a citizen and not a soldior, to answer unbiased objective questions of my own that should, in theory, end this foolish war. "War on terror", lol, I am more terrified that we are fighting a War on Terror than I am about the actual terrorists and their terrorisms, (past present and future). My answer: Most definately; I believe that the very second we lost our first soul in the arms of Iraq, a very powerful message was made. However, this overwhelming message hasn't been as clear in earlier days as compared to the present because people are beginning to become more aware and are evermore demanding of truth and fact. Awareness, my dear, is a powerful tool for translating our military families' personal agendas into one that is political. Accountability in Corporate America should be applied to Political America and people need to know, even if it doesn't directly affect them, that NO AMOUNT OF MONEY can ever bring back a Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, American or Human from the dead!!! Speak up my lady and yee shall be heard. I am working to afford a better means of awareness and any and all comments will surely help the process. Together, we will prevail and Capital Hill will know that We the People stands for something- perhaps at the very crudest level-their JOBS. email me at multiplesof1@yahoo.com or hotmail or gmail and let the political world know that you are AWARE! By doing so I will keep you posted and answer further queries.
P.S. Look to my questions for proof. Consider it an exposition if you will. OUR VOICES WILL BE ECHOED WITHIN THE HOLLOWED hearts OF THE SENATE, HOUSE, AND OVAL PLAYGROUNDS!!!!
Thank you,

I'm sorry for your pain and worry for your son. I have been against this war from the beginning. However much we want it to stop I don't know if there are enough of us to make it happen. As far as sacrificing - while many have lost sons and daughters, husbands and wive, relatives and friends - and those are significant sacrifices - most of us have not sacrificed much. We still drive big cars as fast as we can and our lives go on. We haven't done much to give up our dependence on foreign oil or other luxuries.

If we were to pull all of our troops out of Iraq right now, we would end up in a bigger war later. All of the hard work our troops are trying to accomplish while away from home is all part of the final outcome we are looking for. We all need to just be very proud of the Troops and not try so hard to make them feel they are there for a wrong reason.

Speaking as retired military. And having served during the Nam era you sound pathetic.
When there is a conflict troops are going to sacrifice. We don't like doing it but it's YOUR fault. You try diplomacy without any consequence. If there is no iron fist inside the velvet glove it's a waste of time.
Your son volunteered. I'm proud of him. Most of the guys that died in Nam didn't have a choice. And that was pretty much a Democrat game. 50K plus dead in case you didn't know that!

You are dead on right!!!! There is nothing to be gained trying to referee a civil war. The terrorist are no longer an issue in Iraq they were replaced by insurgents a year ago. Conservatives still are at least a year behind reality . So I'm afraid your son and my friends will be going again and again until the conservatives are removed from power. November can't come fast enough.

You cannot force democracy down the throats of a people who are not accepting and ready for it. We are tired, we've done all we can; it's time to let our troops come home but bush refuses.
This is sad. These children do not deserve to be used this way.
They've given enough.

Go to Normandy and ask any French folk about their gratitude for what the Allies did - go and look at the American War Cemeteries and Memorials - see how they care for your fallen,
They look after dead soldiers far better than most countries treat serving ones - and that is the absolute truth.
