how can it be a secular government? What if majority of people do not want a secular governmnet since religion is an every day thing for people? We would see a destruction of democracy. I would say Christians like Bush and those that adore him really would hate to see a secular government. I would say the laws and practices of religious fanatics will interfere with the concept of democracy.

Next question if there is a deterioration of this 'democracy' in the states how can you enforce it on other countries in middle east, like Iraq?

"Animal House in the West Wing

He loves to cuss, gets a jolly when a mountain biker wipes out trying to keep up with him, and now we're learning that the first frat boy loves flatulence jokes. A top insider let that slip when explaining why President Bush is paranoid around women, always worried about his behavior. But he's still a funny, earthy guy who, for example, can't get enough of fart jokes. He's also known to cut a few for laughs, especially when greeting new young aides, but forget about getting people to gas about that."

I have been unemployed for six months and as hard as I try, have not found work. Because I receive employment insurance I am included in the Government stats as being out of work. Once my EI runs out, the Government will assume, as I no longer receive payments, I have found a job. Without me telling them different, their stats will be incorrect. How many others have run out of benefits, are still out of work, but are not listed by the Governments as unemployed. As long as I continue to pay taxes I guess they really don't care. What upsets me most is they actually brag about a lower unemployment rate to get more votes and that rate is not true.

With all the witnesses and all the broken airline wreckage and a evil person admitting that he did it why do people insist that the US government attacked itself? If you study history or are old enough to remember Watergate, it should be clear that two or three people knowing a secret in our government is 2 too many! To implode the world trade center would have taken hundreds of fake witnesses. I could almost understand the Conspiracy Theory thinking if you only read blogs about the theory. My answer to those CT nut's; get a real job, read a newpaper (even the NY times), attempt to educate yourself in reality and think hard about the fact that the fanatics we are fighting want to kill you!

did in Europe in WW2?

It seems like the government is similarly radical. It also seems as if Iran has a history of trying and/or succeeding.

I'm afraid that middle eastern countries are so sure that the west is so skewed against them that they ignore the west's warnings. Instead believing that Iran is will be their protector in the region, but not realizing how right they are.

I also feel like many times they don't seem to see how the world wars help us understand the reality of the worst of human nature.

Even with a weaker military than the US or EU, I think the nuclear deterent would hold significant sway against would be adversaries (not wanting to touch off a nuclear holocaust). That is, we will be far less able to protect innocent Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Jew, and other non-Shia muslims from a little ethnic cleansing.

This is a small point BUT.
I work for Royal Mail, and every year at Christmas, a representative
tells the nation on national television, that the christmas mail is heavier than the year before, when in fact it is lighter, and getting less and less every year.
so if they lie about that what else, have you any examples from where you work?

How is that the Americans support Bush & consider him as the one who'll protect America from terrorism eventhough he is the ultimate terrorist?
Wars on Afganisthan, Iraq, the war on Lebanon with Israel at the front & the impending attacks on Iran, North Korea & Syria provide ample evidence to denote the mindset of Bush.

I'm a leftist but I hear a lot of rightists out there talking about Condoleeza Rice for '08. I don't think that'd work because she's linked to Bush now and his approval rating's down... But still, for you to say she should be president. What has she don't that's good? I'm not being sarcastic, I really want to know. What gives her the edge to be president?
