I think a city that would harbor illegal aliens would not be a city I would chose to shop in. I also feel this would create a dangerous place and crime rates would rise

I think that it is unfair that I am paying into Social Security and may NEVER see it when I retire in 40 years!! I would like it to be an option to the people that will not reitre anytime soon. I don't mind helping those in need but I am in need too and the government doesn't help me out when I am financially constrained.

President Bush visted Iraq unannounced to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister. Could a world leader visit the White House unannounced to meet with the President?

Both parties have sold us out to corporate interests and billions of tax payer dollars are spent on corporate welfare (to pay for advertising over seas, pay for exporting our jobs over seas etc). We have become a country run by the corporations for the corporations. In other words we have the best government money can buy. Because candidates fill their campaign coffers with money that lobbiests raise for them (do you really think banning golf trips and dinners will change anything when lobbiest raise millions for their re-election war chests by hosting $1000+ dinners?) they have far more influence than you or I.

It is as if we Americans were once a big stud Great Dane not taking any crap from these, that has been castrated with very little will to do anything. We are taking loads of abuse with only the far left liberals trying to do something about it. And since the hippie like liberals (who do generally have good ideas) are the only opposition, the politicians easily brush them aside as too far left and scaring us with terrorists. Checks and balances has been forgotten since the election of 2000. Remember when we tried to kick a president out for lying about cheating on his wife? Now we have a president who gives $5bil subsidies to oil companies who have turned record profits, CIA agent's cover being blown by the white house, a useless war in Iraq which has taken thousands of American lives, and we haven't even thought about taking actions against the President???

They try to ban abortion. They try to keep homosexuals from getting married. They have halted stem cell research. Evidence in Rolling Stone Magazine shows the possibility they stole the 2004 vote. As an adult do you feel that Republicans in the White House and abroad have an inner desire to treat others as if they are children? God gave us free will and it seems as if they want to take that away from those adultlike and personal possibilities. There are people who need abortions. Those who want to join their same sex partners who are hurt or injured in the hospitals. Those who want their votes to be counted. Those who need stem cell research to heal. When our time with God comes we will be responsible for our own decisions like adults. Do you feel as if Republicans have a need to treat other adult matters as if we were grown ups in pre-school?

The proposed Legislative & Regulatory Reform Bill now before Parliament will give ministers the power to alter any law passed by Parliament, without the consent of Parliament. Some experts are calling it the Abolition of Parliament Bill. How can we prevent such a piece of legislation reaching the statute book?
(No writing to my M.P. is no good, he's a minister)

We have over 47,000,000 US citizens without health care. Why are we still one of the last Industrialized nations not to offer national health care for its citizens? While knowing we pay more for health care, are charged higher fees- yet we are are still some of the unhealthiest (recent report done in GB & Jama?)
We also have the highest growth of "rich" and the highest growth of "permanent poor". (summarized content from Senate hopefull H.Webb's site and Gov. acct office 2004 or 2005) with no caps on what pharmacutical companies, hospitals (private), nursing homes, health equip supplies, etc can charge. I have found NO logical reason (except greed) for the health care crisis we have in this country - and I have researched it- yet nothing is done.

Afghanistan is bigger and larger than Iraq. But US only has about 20,000 troops in Afghanistan versus 150,000 in Iraq. Why aren't we sending more troops to catch Osama? After all, it wasn't Sadam but it was Osama who attacked America

Come on people you bash the president and most of you have no clue as to what you are talking about. Why? Just think of the rampant terrorism that would be in our country if Kerry would have one. He can even remember details of Vietnam. He gets busted in a flat out lie and people still wana back him? I say get some real information before you speak of things you only her about from bias sources.
