Studies have shown that the rich are growing progressively wealthier, with the richest 1% of the American people commanding upwards of 30% of the total personal wealth. The middle class tends to be largely addicted to spending, with a small amount being directed towards appreciating assets - ie. they invest at a mucher lower rate than the wealthy.
So, in short. The answer to your question is yes.

Yes - very much. There is an increasing gap between the upper class and the lower. And the middle class is almost vanishing

Yes that is why the taxes has increased so for the wealthy and middle class anytime you have so many riding on the wagon it takes more from the ones who are not riding.I do not feel it is fair to take my taxes and give it to someone for having children

look at "The Oregon Kids" answer and ask your self this:
Why are some of the people in the middle class becoming rich when the rest of them are spending all there money and not getting rich?
The middle class is not getting rich because they make choices to spend all their money on other things and not save to become secure or wealthy.
same reason that people stay poor.
It is all about Choice.

no...there will always be a somewhat set middle class. as people get richer, the less wealthy become the middle class. the rest would be defined as poor. so it never shrinks...
