Yes its true. There are pictures of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam before he gave Saddam the chemical weapons Saddam used on his own people and the Iranians in the 1980s! Go Donny, Go Donny!

Just goes to show what kind of monster Saddam really is. How he could take the aid of our country to help him keep out Iran, and then turn around and use the weapons on his own people. It is no wonder the U.S. Congress supported our President in overthrowing that terrible man. Just think what would have happened if we had stayed allies with him after learning the truth. I mean, supporting Saddam against Iran is one thing, but at least we had the morals to sever ties when his true colors came out. Yeah Bush!
It is just like the fact that the U.S. trained Bin Laden and company in Afghanistan to keep out the Russians. Not even the Washington Post likes to talk about that. Too bad Bin Laden has warped sense of his beautiful religion. His time days are now numbered like Saddam's.

My Gawd!! The Democrats supported Joseph Stalin (WWII). The number of people killed under his regime is estimated to be as high as 60 million.

We also now support Japan, German, Italy. All killed Americans and other allies. The problem, at the time, was that Iran, as is now, was a much worse country and the leaders of Iran voled to kill Americans. Also, Iran And Iraq were involved in an 8 year war that we wanted Iran to lose.

We supported the Iranian dictator too until they tossed us out on our asses in 1979. People think these wars are solely about oil, but they're also about cleaning up the mess we've been creating in the Middle East for about 50 years.
Unfortunately this means creating an even bigger mess by attempting to convert these proud people to "western liberalism".

Yes, I knew that...in a different war, just as was pointed out in the first answer. I also know that FDR supported Stalin in WWII. It's called the lesser of two evils - you temporarily side with the lesser one in order to take out the greater one, then go back and deal with the lesser one later.

He is just trying to mess with everybody! He, who supposedly has served our country, (although I very much doubt it with his constant harrassment of our troops and America) is always Bashing those who he (if he served) swore to serve and protect.
