I am a Canadian and working on TN visa. I am planning to apply for Green Cad. But as TN visa is not dual intent unlike H1B, some people are saying that its hard to get GC. and if rejected i will not be able to apply for TN visa any more and also to go out of the country i need to apply for advance payroll. Can anyone please tell me how long will it take to get I-140, I-485, EAD and Advance Payroll to get approved and what are the chances of getting approved. Did anyone get Green Card from TN? and how long did it take for them.. Your answers are highly appreciated.. Thanks..

my bf wants to ask for a fiancee visa for me. he lives in PA with his family. i live in the dominican republic. Right now hes not working and hes worry cuz we checked that he have to send an affidavit form to the Department of Homeland Security of his area. what he cand do about it?? can he asks his parents to fill it out for him or he can included the records of last jobs he had?? ... we planned to start applying on nov 17th. i know i dont have to do nothing but just fill out the Biographic Data Sheets and send him a picture of myself (i guess is a passport picture). If we get approved, what would happen after? would i be able to go the states??

anyone who experienced this, let me know, thanks!

Hi,

I had H1B visa. Then I changed to different company (outside US). so my present employer said they can't transfer my H1 visa because I moved to my present company from outside US.
I aplied for B1 visa and got the visa.
Is there any way to check my H1 visa validity status?
Is it possible to have both H1 abd B1 visa same time?

Thanks
VJ

US Visas are difficult to avail of and quite expensive. Aside from the multitude of paper requirements, [which they completely ignore at times or don't require upon actual interview], family ties seems to be the grounding factor that would make you come back to your homeland. Not necessarily true! Even if there are family ties in the USA, it does not mean that's where you'd really want to begin pitching your tent. There's no place like home still.
