for us passport you can personally go to any of the 4 Dept of State passport offices with your paid airline ticket pay the extra surcharge get it the same day

FIRST THING........make sure you have reported that your pass port was stolon to cover your behind,, and it will take about a month to get a new one becarefull with a lost passport i have had a prolbem with i d theft you dont want that

in new jersey 120 bucks gets you a passport in about a week.... if you were to go to a major city like seattle.... or san francisco.... or new york you can get it that day if you show proof of departure and urgency... but fees may be added... i paid 80 bucks and mine took a month
