I live in a minority majority county in Virginia. The same liberal democrats get voted into local and state office every election even though my county has been one of the poorest counties for 40 or 50 years. I'm not a Republican, but I am a conservative independent. It has gotten so bad here that the Democrate usually runs unchallenged. Why?

As far as I am aware, there's 4 candidates. Is there a place that I view information (preferably a video) about what they all promise, and what they think needs done, etc.?

And while on the topic, at what time will we have a new president in the White House? And finally, what month does voting take place?

When did who sleeps with who become more important that substantive issues?
Additionally, since most Americans and almost all politicians are Christians, doesn't the increased emphasis on "values" (ie Christian values) edge us closer to 1st amendment violations?

Ok, ok, ok, I know most CONSERVATIVE people like or love Ann Coulter because of her views. Of course, this is America and everybody has freedom of speech.

In my point of view I think she was a messed up during her childhood years so that's why she wants to be outrageous and controversial. She loves the attention of people, whether good and bad. But why does she have to offend people? What the hell is her problem.

So many important issues are decided by the few that can afford to take time away from work to vote and I have things to do for my family before work and after work. Most people have time on the weekend to do other things and voter turn out would, I am sure, be much better.
