Bill Richardson has the best resume of any candidate for president.
House of Representatives (NM-3) 83-97
US Ambassador to the UN 97-98
US Secretary of Energy 98-01
Governor of NM 01-present
And he would be a great support in a growing Democratic region in the West / Southwest.
I would be proud to vote for him if he gets the Democratic nomination, but I am not supporting him in the primary.

Aside from Al Gore, Richardson is the best Democrat in 2008. He has no real negatives and plenty of experience. He is a successful governor, was Secretary of Energy and US ambassador to the UN. He can win in the West, can win the Hispanic vote and has no negatives (like Hillary or Obama.)
He is definitely my choice if Gore doesn't run.

Just as I wouldn't vote against someone because of his race, so I would not vote FOR anyone simply because of his race. It's just not a good enough reason when it comes to electing a president. I think I'd be ok with voting for Richardson, as I recall when I lived in Colorado (he was NM governor) that he had some good things to say; I'd have to learn more, though.

Bill Richardson is great. A moderate candidate from a western state who didn't use negative campaighn ads. Matter of fact, I actually watched on purpose because his ads were so clever.
