Elections - January 2007

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

Why is it that politicians pretend to care but when they get in office it is all about them and THEIR agenda? I thought it was about the people? When it comes time for re-election their VALUES pop back up and caring starts? Why do we fall for it? Why cant we see past it? Why is it all about money? I personally would vote for a normal person if I KNEW they could fix this country regardless of race age gender spirituality and party. It wouldnt have to be a college education silver spoon. Just someone that can fix this country. Please answer! Thanks. I was just wondering?

Which would you pick betwen each one. No, you can't pick Kerry. He's already lost once and he's not running again, and Al Gore is too busy saving the world for Hollywood. Oh, by the way...George Bush is in the middle of his second term, so he can't run again either.

I've been seeing people saying things about Hillary Clinton running in the presidential elections in 2008. In a question that Hillary herself asked (which is unrelated), some people said they were "looking forward to voting for Hillary in '08".

Is this just a rumor or is she really planning to run?

According to a report on BBC news 'many americans would never vote for a woman on principle'. is this correct?

If there was a female candidate for president would you consider voting for her?

If there are people who wouldn't are these the sort of people who think that 'a womans's place is in the kitchen'?

Some of the Senators did not run in an election this time around in November. Why so? For example: John Kerry didn't run against anyone to keep his seat. Are there more elections then every 4 years?

I think that the GOP is going to win, again. McCain and Giuliani are way more popular. McCain is way better than both of them.
I bet he leads on independents and a good chunk of democrats will defect.

Say no to Hillary. Who does she think she is Eva Peron?

Hilary Clinton or the Black dude (whats his name?) from the democrats? Do you think the republicans have any hope? And please, dont tell me that Ralph Nader is going for it again !!
And while you're at it why not tell me what you think of Hilary Clinton?

Let's pretend, though, that it's 2016 and he's running, so experience is no longer an issue... I realize his voting record can't be predicted, but this is a hypothetical. Obviously, if you always vote republican, you're not going to vote for him, so I don't need that answer. What are other reasons you wouldn't vote for him?

Are there any African-American's who wouldn't vote for him, and why?

Thank you

Well I have been heavily researching the Democratic Candidates and a certain comment had stood out like a sore thumb to me hillary's website about her finally running...

'"The effort to "humanize" Clinton, as her advisers have put it, was in full swing just two days into her presidential campaign."

Wow! I thought why can 't she just be herself, that's what we're gonna get if we vote for her as president, not what appeals to Americans in order to get a vote.

So, since it is admitted on her website that she is "trying" to seem appealing, is that credible or acceptable?

Sounds like, " I'm not good enough so mode me into what will make them want me." Anyone agrees/disagrees?

We have heard since Bush took office that how important military service is to be a good president.
Since McCain is a vet and POW and the democrates don't have a single vet in the front running.
That has to mean they have to vote for McCain is sure thing right?
