I just answered Hillary Clinton's question about health care, and it got me to thinking about how the internet can really be a tool for polititions to find out what people really want. Of course the internet has been around for a while now, but it seems like forums like Yahoo Answers and others have really taken off lately.

So how do you think these online forums and question sites will effect the election?

What if she picks Bill as her running mate? If something happens to her, would he assume the presidency? Why can't there be a democrat president and a republician vice president or vice versa? What about Hilliary & Rice on the same ticket? Two women running the country?

I don't understand why the accepted wisdom is that 2008 is first election with no incumb. prez or v.p. The press keeps saying it, but neither Eisenhower nor Stevenson were incumbents in 1952. Am I missing something? Can anyone shed light on this for me?

I always consider about what will happen in the future if we withdraw now. What will happen to us, to the Iraqis and to the world? Will this action help us to avoid the 9/11-like event in the future?

I don't feel that Hillary Clinton can win the presidency. I mean their is no way Mrs. Clinton can win any states in the south. I just can't see that happening. When her husband was president I remember rallies down south being thrown to denounce her specifically some people even burned effigies of Mrs.Clinton. I just hope some other Democratic wins in the primaries and not her. This country is divided enough and she would only bring out bad memories for many who didn't even like her as first lady let alone a possible presidential candidate.

My coworker pointed this out to me. If you go on many of the candidates' websites, their platforms are on the front page. Nearly all candidates have these so potential voters know if they are the right politician for them. However, Senator Obama does not yet have his platform listed. I think the reason might be because enough people know who he is already and he doesn't need to spill out his views. That is, if people know his platform, it would hurt him more than help him because some of his current supporters would not agree with his platform. What do you think?

WASHINGTON (AP) - Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., said Sunday he is taking the first step toward an expected White House run in 2008, offering extensive experience in Washington and the world stage as he seeks to become the first Hispanic president.

"I am taking this step because we have to repair the damage that's been done to our country over the last six years," said Richardson, a former congressman, U.N. ambassador and Energy Department secretary.

"Our reputation in the world is diminished, our economy has languished, and civility and common decency in government has perished," he said in a statement.

He said he had set up an exploratory committee that will allow him to begin raising money and assembling his campaign organization.

"The governor is in it to run for president," spokesman Pahl Shipley said. The formal announcement will come in March after the end of New Mexico's legislative session, he said.

threatened to use congressional spending power to try to stop the war. " George Bush has a habit of firing military leaders who tell him the Iraq war is failing," he said, looking out at the masses. "He can't fire you." Referring to Congress, the Michigan Democrat added: "He can't fire us.

The part that caught my attention is that Bush has a habit of firing "military leaders" who tell him that the war in Iraq is failing. It's like telling someone that there's a big gaping hole in the road but no one is listening. Hence, more people keep falling into this gaping hole. I'm sorry but the line between patriotism and reality is way out of focus. I think even a blind man could see the out come in this situation. Your thoughts please.

Alexander Haig is on the record saying that Lyndon B. Johnson knew Castro ordered JFK dead and ordered a cover up because "if the American people learn that we (Democrats) let our President be assasinated by Castro we (Democrats) would be out of power for one generation".

The test should be very difficult, in my opinion. It should test a person's general intelligence and their knowledge of American and World history. It should be a test that would challeng an honors graduate of Harvard. If only one person in a thousand could vote, voting would become an honor. Think of how much the debates would improve. Education would become more valuable.
