I like G W but, the last presidential elections where the candidate was someone I respected definitely would be Reagan but I was too young to vote :-(

I've respected all of the Democrats I voted for since I started voting at age 18 in 1980, but none of them were my favorites or first choice. If I voted for any of them in the primaries it was only because things were pretty much already decided and I wanted to show my support for the eventual winner. I am very proud that my first vote ever was for Ted Kennedy in the NY presidential primary in 1980. His personal life may be a mess but he would have been a great president.

I think a lot of people would like to vote a respectable candidate, however each person feels that if they abandon their party, The candidate who could have actually won, lost by a few hundred votes. I would like to hear of one politician who is truly respectable.
