It appears that some like to flirt with disaster

It will take some time to determine the answer to that. I predict that neither of them will get the nomination. At best, one of the two might be a VP nominee. I see Joe Biden or Edwards going all the way. Look at 2004, when the seemingly unstoppable frontrunner (Hoard Dean) just completely crumbled. I think 12 months from now Obama will be a distant memory, and Hilary Clinton will be in her first real political battle against a couple of established democrats.

No.

The only way to keep a Republican in the White House is for the Dems to run a female and a black.

People's attitude change slowly. There has never been a female or a black president.

C Rice is raising both the female and black profile at this time. But she probably would not be in her current position if it was not for Colin Powell.

A few years ago the Dems ran a ticket with a white male for President and a white female for vice-president and were defeated.

Hillary and Obama would have a great attraction however, they have no attraction for each other and the "dirty tricks" have already started. If either of them win the Democrat nomination, you can pretty well bet they will NOT pick the other as their running mate.
Remember Bush and Quail? Same idea.

No, just given the republicans the match they dream of, but Obama wins the nomination probadly looking for a closer race to the whitehouse, but not with hillary included. Rather see a Richardson, or Hucklebee type go face to face because govenors are better suited to the whitehouse than ivy league senators.

Leave Obama out of it. How about Hillary/Edwards (or Edwards/Hillary for that matter). Maybe Edwards/Obama.
You people are right though. Its gonna be hard enough for a black person or a woman to run and win. Combine the two and its suicide. Maybe just placing one with someone else and you might have something there.
Myself, i wouldnt let it bother me, but i know there still are plenty of redneck/racists left in America who wouldnt vote for a woman or black person.

No. Hillary is part of history letter her and the Clinton Dynasty remain there. Obama is too inexperienced to handle the problems this country has.

A woman and a black, of course....that's been such an easy way into the White House in the past. Why should now be any different?

I'm not sure yet... I just hope the people of the USA will vote for the issues, and not popularity and the name.
