I would like you guys who have not been open to the reality of global warming to do your research not just try to diffuse the argument by saying it in not happening, that would fly in the face of all nobel scientists climate scientists who have documented that this is occouring, I will take their position before any naysayer who has not done his or her homework or who chooses to believe one or two scientists who practice pseudoscience int he name of special interest groups, The reality is that this is happening and I challenge all of you to do something about it. And for the record I have been studying Global Warming for over 10 years and the reason I mention Al Gore is he is the one who has layed it out so simply, please dont use the old excuse that this is not real and do something about it.

Do you cast your vote on these issues?
Do you consider other things like the deficit or gas prices?
How about issues like health care and social security?
It just seems that these 2 issues come up every election year and divide out country with no real answers ever materializing.

I'm just asking. It seems only *trolls* are allowed to post to these boards any more, them and their political 'bots. The minute I try to make a comment it gets censored because the system REFUSES to find the server, then deletes my attempted post on hitting the back button. Can you say censorship disguised as a browser glitch? :( Really, what is up with that??

Oh wait, I forgot, this is Yahoo, they only wanna hear from trolls, spammers, scammers, webcammers, political hacks...you know, the folks who PAY for the privilege of being a pest, like, oh, Beijing did so Yahoo could help them criminalize more of their own people. Gah. It isn't just my nation is it, the whole freaking planet is a dictatorship of the filthy rich and their sheeple hordes now....

If you were in charge of America, what things would you do? Not silly "Im the president, I can do what I want" things, but real political things. For example, immigration, welfare, taxes, war, national debt, political reform, education, etc. Serious answers only please.

Why cant conservatives have a debate about anything without saying that liberals hate America? We LOVE our country but dont like where the conservatives are taking it and now we want to move it in another direction. Not to communism, not to socialism, not to any other histerical places the right says we want to take it - just to a better place.

The Pentagon says that no weapons were found in Iraq. What was found - and we already knew this - was that inert items were found that could not have been used. The chemicals were no longer functioning (More then 12 years inert) and there was no active program to make any more. Republican supporters of the war continue to say weapons were found to prop up Bush and themselves. Wont this further embarrass them in November if they keep saying there were weapons and the war was justified?

It has been my experience that the majority of the crowd often disagree with the politicians. It doesn't make any difference. The civic leaders just go through the motions and do what they originally intended.

Maybe the Libs are right. Maybe Bush should sit back, do nothing and let the Muslim exremists take over the world. The Muslims may be right, we should make America like the Middle East. There would be no fighting over religion, there would only be one religion, and it would be the manditory state religion! Athiest, Jews, Christians and any other non-muslems would have their heads handed to them. We wouldn't have to worry about women's rights, there wouldn't be any rights for women. Wouldn't have to worry about education, all you need to know is in the Koran. Wouldn't have to worry about sex and vulgarity on the TV -- state run Muslim TV won't have anything but news and religion. Won't have to worry about crime. Criminals (unless you are part of the ruling class) face chopped off body parts for first offense, death for next.
Sound good to you, Bush-bashers?

Historical causes of poverty particulalry in Africa include slavery, colonialism and present day unfair trade terms! In view of this, Africa depends on the concious of the west to overcome poverty. Despite horrible TV images of absolute misery, people don't act to change the world, why is it like this? If TV images can't make the worlds citizens to act, what will make western governments to be responsible and bring about fair international trade, regulation of multinational companies and lending institutions? What will it take for the majority to start being human with compassion for others? The world has taken long to move through histroy and reach present civilisation status mostly due to illiteracy and poor communication in the past, but with this generation, education and easy communication is expected to bring about happiness for all people with equal opportunities and access to health and education. To achieve this, peoples of the world should act, why are we not acting?

Do you support instant runoff elections?
Instant Runoff Voting is a system that guarantees the winning candidate has a majority of the votes (instead of a plurality) and eliminates the "wasted vote syndrome" caused by third party candidates. It allows voters to rank some or all of the candidates by preference on a single ballot (first, second, third choice, etc.), so it can simulate an "instant" runoff election if no candidate has a majority of the votes.

If anyone receives a majority of the first choice votes, that candidate is elected. If not, the last place candidate is defeated, just as in a runoff election, and all ballots are counted again. This time each ballot cast for the defeated candidate counts for the next choice candidate listed on the ballot. The process of eliminating the last place candidate and recounting the ballots continues until one candidate receives a majority of the vote.
