Maybe the Libs are right. Maybe Bush should sit back, do nothing and let the Muslim exremists take over the world. The Muslims may be right, we should make America like the Middle East. There would be no fighting over religion, there would only be one religion, and it would be the manditory state religion! Athiest, Jews, Christians and any other non-muslems would have their heads handed to them. We wouldn't have to worry about women's rights, there wouldn't be any rights for women. Wouldn't have to worry about education, all you need to know is in the Koran. Wouldn't have to worry about sex and vulgarity on the TV -- state run Muslim TV won't have anything but news and religion. Won't have to worry about crime. Criminals (unless you are part of the ruling class) face chopped off body parts for first offense, death for next.

To "The Rebel": Thank you for seeing that I am kidding. To the rest: please note that I said Muslim EXTREMISTS. I believe that most Muslims want peace and brotherhood and to be free to pursue their happiness just as I do. It's the EXTREMIST around the world who are making it tough for the rest of us, including Libs and Cons in the USA. To the person who said that "we ask for it" and "deserved 9/11" go read your Koran. You're out of your mind! First of all, this country was founded on the basis of freedom. Read up on the Bill of Rights-- Freedom of Religion, freedom of speech, freedom to do pretty much whatever you want to do, as long as it doesn't involve killing someone. If we let the fanatical Islamics take over this country, we would set ourselves back not just years, but centuries. I'm sure there's a lot of women out there who would disagree with you whole heartedly as well. I, for one, do not like the thought of being treated as property, of not being able to relish the simple things in life, like showing my face in public, wearing shorts in the summer, driving my car.... I'm far from a feminist, but women in this country have fought for their rights for over a century, and having been born in this AWESOME country, I refuse to be treated like property. We live in the greatest country in the world, and while there may be a few things wrong with it, it's still the best. I served this country for 6 years in the Navy, and I would fight to the death before I let the psychotic, terrorist, Muslim extremists take this place over. Anyone else who was born here should feel exactly the same way I do. If you don't, as far as I'm concerned, you can move to friggin Canada or something.

Lets see the right wing driven vision for USA:

- No healthcare for anyone except the very rich
- All oil of the world controlled by a chosen few.
- The only industry in US would be Oil and Defence. Hollywood would be shut down (along with NY Times)
- No tax for riches, and for everyone else - please pay your own social security after you retire because govt will not have anything left to fund, after spending everything on defence
- There will be no fight over religion - the state religion will be evangelical, and remaining tax monies will be paid to these religious charities who vigorously convert muslims, atheists, jews and homosexuals to Christianity
- No need to worry about education - the only thing taught will be Intelligent design, and the bible (Oh, and yes, most University departments will be shut down - especially science and engineering)
- There wouldn't be anything else on TV except FOX news (and OK, TV preachers are allowed, if they tow the official line)
- Everyone will be put on prison for the smallest of crimes - homosexuals will be put for life, blacks and minorities will be put for life; for any petty crime
- Women will be respected, if they wear bras, don't work but take care of families, and produce babies (even if as a result of rape, incest etc)
- By and large, the voting list will only include white middle-aged people, who are married, and go to church regularly. All others will be removed off the voters list. All Hispanics will be declared Illegal immigrants and removed from the rolls immediately.

I could go on and on..., but this alternate vision that you are offering isnt palatable either :)

It's not like Bush is REDUCING the no. of extremists. Thing about ANY time of Extremists is... the more you kill, the more you create.

What makes makes me an expert? Maybe living in a country with extremists from all religions,,, and living with terrorist attacks regularly. Forget it man, this is soo much complicated than what you've stated.

Alright, simple thing. Picture this - You're a 10 yr old kid, hangin out in your neighbourhood in Iraq.. running around in your backyard. Suddenly a missile explodes near your house.. When you do come to your senses your standing in the middle of your house holding what you hope is part of your mothers body.. most of it is just blood. You're life's been destroyed, but some dude in another country, Far far away, calls your mom collateral damage..

Yes, thats exactly what liberals want...Since when did the Muslim extremists wanted take over the world? Since the US made Israel and put everyone in there and made other Arabic countries angry...Then the US would interfere at any conflict between ARABIC countries and only, because there was oil involved. Muslims wouldnt bother with the West if you didnt stick your noses everywhere...Besides world dominance is an American thing and not Muslim. Yes, they are disgusting in arabic countries, they kill each other for nothing, they are undeveloped...let them be...now we have to live in fear of their attacks all over the world because your country could find oil honestly. Bush is not protecting anyone from attacks, he gives people a reason to attack, and you deserved the 9/11 although it was something very bad which should never happen. Yes of course, if bush go back everything will be better in the world. Everybody will have peace, social and political stability will reign throughout the world. Terrorism will be over, it will just become a history. I say this because Bush himself is a terrorist and causing/incubating/yielding/propagating more terrorists, that can never be finished with. They are still generating, increasing, they are unstoppable. Bush cannot stop them.

Bush's actions in Afganistan, Iraq and Palestine cause the death of over one hundred thousand people. Is this not a terrorism. Can you estimate the number of houses, mosques, roads, schools, and other buildings that are wilfully destroyed by Bush's action. We have to be exercising justices, we shoul not show a selfish in such affairs. It it is true that Osama is responsible for 9/11, how many people die their, not up to ten thousand, can you compare it with the number of people killed by Bush in Iraq only. Abu Graib, Haditha and others are among the actions of Bush. Iran is another target, then Syria, Saudi Arabia and others, then go on to African Muslim countries. You cannot decieve me saying that Bush is not going to finish all Muslim Countries, you cannot, I already know that, that is his mission, no more no less.

How can the so-called terrorist sit down and watch him destroying their religion, country and stealing their oil, and then telling them he is bringing freedom to them. What kind of freedom is this? I cannot understand this, and never beleave/aggree with this rumours from bush and his alliences.

Do ever any of the islamic countries invade a sovereign country, kill, destroy, assassinate, murder, torture, and manhandle their people? No only Adofl Hitler did the same thing and say that he is bringing peace to the society.

Freedom is not like that, freedom go with peace always. Bush's freedom did not go with peace, it only goes with invation, killings, destructions, assassinations, murders, theft. This is not freedom, it is something else, but it looks exactly lyk TERRORISM.

Why have so many of our generals come out and said we need a change of course in Iraq? Because now they too want to bring down America? Get REAL!

As a Liberal, I want us to regroup our military so we can defend our nation against the real threats, including North Korea.

I don't understand how this is a war for oil. Where is all this danged oil? I drive an SUV and my husband has a pick'em up truck and frankly, $2.75 a gallon is a bit steep for us. War for oil...what a crock.

I don't think that most liberals are living in the real world. They seem to have this Utopian vision of our world being one where every one is good at the core of their being. Not so! These extremists want to conquer us. They want us to either submit or die. Neither is an option for me. I can live peacefully along side alot of things, but not extremists of ANY religion.

There forces aren't large enough.I must admit though i will be overjoyed when people stop hiding behind what good has accidentally come out of this illegal invasion situation and take responsibility. We had no business in Iraq period. wow ... goes to show you how ignorant that people are!

first off, in relation to religion, there is more than one predominant religion in the middle east. Christianity being one of them.

secondly, women do have rights depending on the country, not the religion. for instance, some Muslim men treat their women like gold. there is nothing more sacred than a women in some middle eastern countries.

thirdly, maybe criminals here should be treated more like criminals and less like celebrities. hell, there are criminals here who eat better than university educated people! there are criminals who have a better education than people out there working their @sses off to go to school.

bottom line, you are not any better than those "Bush-bashers" that you are venting on. you are simply contributing to the ignorance in the world by spewing more incorrect venom.

That is a slippery slope argument and by nature a fallacy. Just because liberals are tired of fighting a war over oil doesn't mean that they want to hand the world over to Muslim "extremists."

How about we just let them have their own land back and quit ripping them off in every deal we make as well as quit supplying with WMD's every oppressive tin-pot dictator that comes to power in their territory. The reason why they haven't embraced Western thought is because we haven't given them ANYTHING of value, well, every one of them except Israel.

They just see the death and destruction we bring to them, they see the things we do to keep the oil barons in power, and they see even the jihadist textbooks the US government supplies to the school kids. They see our blatant support for Israel, a country which didn't exist to them just 60 years ago and sits there as a painful reminder of what the West brings to them.

If you listen to them, all any group, peaceful or terrorist, wanted in the Middle East was for us to be GONE. That's it, end of story. Fair business deals all around, treat them like humans, different but equal, and quit forcing our culture on them.
