Even Ronald Reagan, a man I consider the best president we have had since JFK, said "It's still trust but verify" If you have to verify, that means you DO NOT BLINDLY TRUST the governemnt.

1. Change the Federal level elections to the 2nd Monday in August, that way more teenagers and children could participate in campaign and hopefully lead to less apathy, also Congress would be in recess so they would devote that time to campaign instead of when they should be working. Also most people are not farmers anymore and don’t have to choose between harvest or voting(that’s why it’s in November)
2. Make it a Federal holiday, people would be more likly to vote , and we could use a 3 day weekend in August.
3. Have to show photo id, because voting should be more important than getting a movie, and you can’t do that without a photo id.
4. Have the system incorporate biometrics so only 1 vote per person.
5. Mandate that exit polls on election night include how many people were asked and how many responded.

Do you at all feel that even though you never wanted him as president, that he should be the one to get us out of the mess that he created?

I didn't vote for anybody because I was perplexed with the idea of my vote causing bad leadership or a bad/worse outcome that we previously had.

Issues like The Bush administration and the war in Iraq, how badly hurricane Katrina was handled, exploitation of the poor, genocide, lack of value for human life in third world countries, corrupted leaders, etc.

How do you deal with issues that make you angry and frustrated?

Be honest… would you pay 10-15% more for an item if that item would help keep the manufacturer from moving to a foreign country to produce it? Think about how much you are now paying for gas and the cost increases in food and other products due to the price increase in gas, with the National average creeping up to $3.00 a gallon. Also consider that your total cost increases would rise and your monthly budget increased by $100.00- $300.00 dollars based on the price for goods and services produced in America. Would you be willing to pay? How much more would you be willing to pay? Are you willing to take your message to these Corporations and ask that they continue to produce their goods here rather than Mexico or China? Could your monthly expenditures take that kind of hit?
Just some things to ponder…

We always hear campaign speeches and promises from the candidates, and after the election, very little of what made us vote for the candidate gets done. Let's change the election process so that a candidate's promises must also be filed in the form of a detailed legislative bill that complies with the Constitution. The bill(s) automatically become law when the new president is sworn in. Only the Constitution could not be ammended in this way.

You always hear about everyone complaining about government and politics, but in reality there's probably a good percentage of them that are registered but do not vote. What does society need to do to get more people to vote? Is America doomed to be run by the few that actually vote?

Everybody knows what bush did for victory in past American President Election. May be whole the story was right or wrong!

My question is after all that happened, why bush was so concerned about third world election system. Like Iraq!
