We always hear campaign speeches and promises from the candidates, and after the election, very little of what made us vote for the candidate gets done. Let's change the election process so that a candidate's promises must also be filed in the form of a detailed legislative bill that complies with the Constitution. The bill(s) automatically become law when the new president is sworn in. Only the Constitution could not be ammended in this way.

My thinking here is that the PEOPLE vote for the candidate because they like what the candidate says he/she want to accomplish. If the PEOPLE elect a candidate based on his/her promises, then let's make the promises a reality. It's not a dictatorship, it's what the majority of the PEOPLE want. This would probably bring out more voters too.

I personally don't want any one person to be able to make a bill into a law. Hello, that is why we have the three branches of government so we don't have a dictatorship!! Bad idea!!

Impossible! Any change in Law must first be voted on! Once Capitol Hill approves Bill it goes to President for signature. When a Bill is introduced it goes through many changes before final version goes to President. You cant make Law based on who is elected! That's more a Monarchy than anything else! The mistake people make is they actually believe candidates will do what they claim in campaign promises! They can't without House to back them! You vote for the person you feel wants to achieve goals similar to your own for yourself and country and hope that during debates House agrees without too much amendment!
