I don't think so. Even if in theory they both agreed with this person's idea's and such I don't think Republicans and Democrats would admit to agreeing on the same person. They are both too childish. (and yes I am a republican)

John McCain is the most electable man in the United States - but neither party will nominate him for President. Why? He's too centrist - the more extreme edges of either party would be dissatisfied.

Joe Biden? You've got to be joking - that guy is far more liberal than McCain is conservative. Even Lieberman is more centrist than Biden.

But really, I kinda doubt it. Unfortunately, too many people vote on party lines without really considering the issue, so we are doomed to be a country split in two.
