Portrayed by movies and media, America is one big greasy ball of Rap, Fast food, and expensive luxuries such as cars. Where did their good 'ol American ways go?

I'm not exactly the most patriotic person, but while living here I think it's healthy to wonder about the culture.

There is no single definition for American culture, which of course is a wide blend now-a-days anyway, but seriously.. Even Canada and England (which are countries very much like USA) have definitions of their culture.

Uncle Sam.. what happened, man?

I asked this question to a group of people once and was amazed that people were fighting with me to not have a public holiday on Election Day in November. They came up with all sorts of reasons to go to work. Are you completely out of your mind? I am suggesting a DAY OFF, a freakin' HOLIDAY every 2 years for elections and you would argue and stress that you would rather be at work than anywhere else? How brainwashed is the American public. I don't see too many people fighting to go to work on Sundays.

What are your thoughts?

Should there be a day off for us to go and vote, like many other countries, or should we just take the chance and get to the polling station after work?

We are able to file our tax's online, register our children for school online and etc. So why can't we vote online? We would have a larger amount of people going through the process. Lets face it. After work, taking care of the kids and everything else that distract us in our daily lives its really hard to stand in long lines. Especially when you are worried about whats next on the agenda after you've been there for hours. There has to be a better way. So how do we do it. Somebody please ... what is the solution?

What would you do and/or say?
Would you just be dazzled by your brush with fame and shake his hand?
Or would you use the rare opportunity to try and speak up without being a threat?

I am going to push legislation to have "stain-free" clothing, because I do not want me or my boyfriends skidmarks showing up on our suits. Also, I'd like that milky discharge of mine to bead off and roll down my pants so it doesnt get embedded into the crotch. I think that would be #1 on my agenda. Then, I would find peace in the middle east. Oh, yeah, and make everybody not hate us. What do you think?

That’s going to be hard to do “plus” but I hope you enjoy this one.

Harold is 82 and having some prostate problems. After examining him, the doctor gives him a specimen jar and says "Take this home with you, and try to produce a semen specimen. Stop by tomorrow and drop it off so I can run a few tests."

Harold takes the jar and heads home. The next day Harold comes in and asks to speak with the doctor. When he is taken into the office, the doctor asks how he made out. "Not good, Doc." Says Harold. "I went home and tried to do what you said. I tried with my right hand 'til it was cramped from the arthritis...no luck. I tried with my left hand, until I had blisters…no luck.

I asked my wife to help me out, so she tried with her left hand and with her right hand.... no luck. She even tried with her mouth. She tried with her teeth in, and she tried with her teeth out...no luck. Then we called Edna, next door, to see if she could help...."

"Good Grief man!" exclaimed the doctor, "You asked your neighbor to help you?"

"Yep." says Harold, "None of us could get the lid off that jar."

Is there a word that represents their philosophy or an argument that describes their reasoning or a particular book or leader that represents anti-democratic thinking. I just can’t imagine why anyone would be against democracy but I know some people do oppose democracy and I’d like to know why. I tried to research this myself on the internet and I just didn’t get anywhere. Tell me what I should be looking for to get a better understanding of this issue. Thanks.
