I don't think it's possible. The hurt and justifiable anger on both sides is too deep.
A start would be for Israel to stop talking the pi$$ and go back to the 1947 UN plan. And for the political branch of Hamas to reign in the terrorist recruiters. For the world to accept Hamas as a democratically elected government. Also to share Jeruselem.
But that will never happen as the world has simply stood by and watched while they tear each other apart. It's gone beyond religion and land to sheer revenge and retaliation.
I personally think that israel is fighting an unwinable battle. Having lived through the IRA bombings of the 80s/90s, suicide bombings is terrorism in a different realm/stratosphere compared to the warnings to evacuate that the IRA sent when they planted bombs. Palestinians are willing to fight to the death literally!

Where is the love? It's a conflict over whose ancestors were on the hill when God said I give you this land of milk & honey. If either side surrenders control of part of that defined territory than they feel they have betrayed God's order. As such, Jew, Muslim, & Christian have fought over teh same land for the same reason for literally thousands of years. The only peace will be when two of those religions don't exist anymore or God shows up to settle it himself - actually according to the bible as I recall there is to be constant war in the mid-east till the anti-christ makes peace in Jeruselm, I don't know if that's actually right though or just one more wierdo interpretation.
Back to reality though, there really is no solution. Isreal pulled out of 90% of the disputed territory & was willing to negotiate much of the rest & details for a palestinian state when the Palestinian Authoroity took control of their region & suppressed terrorist organizations operating freely & with the support of outside countries intent on the destruction of Isreal. Now, Isreal is making them accept those ocnditions by force, and being quite restrained compared to the alternatives. I really think they do need to address Iran/Syria now & put this issue to bed.

I've always thought that one solution would be for someone to invent a force field strong enough to with stand a nuke blast, then surround the whole area, and dont stop dropping the nukes til theres nothing left but the land.
I know this is drastic, and means taking out the whole middle east - Israel, Iran Iraq, saudi etc. but better to zap them now before the whole earth ends up toast bacause of these religious maniacs....
..... gibber, gibber!

Dictatorship - SERIOUSLY!
Only with strong governments capable of addressing the poverty, inequality and injustice rife in the region will it be able to build the basic infrastructure of a tollerant, peaceful society. To do that, the contentious ideologies that fuel the constant bickering between states, tribes, factions, sects etc. need to be replaced with something else.
I'd like to suggest something other than fascism, milatrism or communism because they had their chance and they blew it. I think the Dalai Lama should have a go.

It all come down to religious bullshit! Israel has the right to exist which is something the middle east will never accept! Muslims co-existing with Jews...shock horror..and yet the jewish don't care to tolerate there views on a co- existence either!
Really there as bad as each other, sadly its the innocent who suffer the evil that men do...
It's basicly putting a scorpion in a circle surrounded by snakes..they'll both fight to the death than bow down...

what wars have ended due to a peace process or cease fire or suggestion? unless you were born long before christ was born then there has been no time when someone wasnt warring there. why would a bunch of people who hate the western way listen to the west when told to love each other?

When the American people stop their government from sending a total of $90 Billion of their taxes to Israel to support their barbaric acts then the fighting will stop.

And also when Israels barbarism is exposed, and when the American people stop their governments from vetoing any chance of a peaceful settlement, then maybe there will be an agreement.

Someone somewhere is always seeking to be powerful. The big I am !
It seems there is the need for identity in the country and their way is to bash each other and every one else.
As its their known way of life and has been since the beginning then there is little chance of change.

Wipe out Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaeda, and any other terrorist organization that is wreaking havoc in that region. However, chances of this happening is unlikely. The fact is that there has been struggle and strife in this region forever, and even if you kill off one faction, another is likely waiting in the wings to fill the void. May God bless us all.
