It finally happened-I received a summons for jury duty. Does anyone know any ways to get out of it? I was thinking of sending a letter stating financial hardship. I make little money, my boss doesn't pay for jury duty, and I'm a full time student. I didn't think I'd be summoned this young(I'm 22). It's not that I don't want to go-I really can't afford to go to jury duty.PLEASE HELP!!!

When a Jewish rabbi complained to the Seattle International Airport about having a Christmas tree on display but no Hanukah menorah, the airport removed the tree, claiming it would reflect on the rabbi's request for next year. The rabbi has said that it was not his intention to have the tree removed; he just wanted the menorah added.

In another story, a Colorado homeowner received threats and was fined by the residential subdivision for hanging a wreath in the shape of a peace sign. Protestors claimed it carried an anti-war message and that it was devisive.

Surely political correctness is at work in both situations, but are there any valid complaints? Is there a better way to handle these situations? What are your thoughts?

Why are non-christians, non-jewish or agnostic so offended by the celebration of Christmas or Hannakuh? We don't force this on you. This has been a tradition of this country for a very long time. A tree with ornaments? Peacful symbols? Offensive? Please explain to me so I can tell my kids why celebrating my religion in my country is sooooooo bad!

in my job I have access to customer information as in phone #, address, DOB, DL # etc. My friends are police and they will ask me for info to aid in catching these crooks. I dont get anything, not money or favors, just the satisfaction of knowing a dirtbag is off of the street. these are not common people these are murders, robbers, gang bangers, theives and other dirt bags...

what do you think of this? I could get fired for doing this, but I have a family and want to make the world( at least my town) a safer place. If I turn a blind Eye I or anyone could be the next victim.
The info I have supplied has been the break in some very major cases.
