I deleted the last question because the actual question didn't appear to get through to people. I am NOT advocating on either side of compulsory voting. The question is:

Three civic duties of Americans are: paying taxes, voting and jury duty. That being the case, what makes voting different from other civic duties? Should we be allowed to opt out of paying taxes, just as we tend to "opt out" of voting?

If terrorists start putting explosives up their anuses would you be willing to subject yourself to a thorough rectal examination at airport security?

It seems that terrorists will stop at nothing to further their evil aims, and in doing so they don’t mind killing themselves. What’s stopping them from boarding an aircraft with explosives in their anal cavity? I think this is a serious security flaw and it is only a matter of time until one of these terrorists exploits this loophole. I think we should remain one step ahead and start searching passenger’s colons at airport security. I don’t think people will disapprove of bending over for a thorough rectal examination in order to save some lives, you should be proud to be serving Queen and country and protecting the noble institution of democracy by bending over and spreading them. What do you think?

My sister and I were mugged a couple of nights ago right outside the gate to my student house. Although I screamed, nobody paid any attention. I've heard that both Mace and pepper spray are illegal in the UK, but what are you supposed to use when the police are useless and screaming just makes noise?

Are there any alternatives to these?

The one at the helm had started bringing in his brothers and relatives to our project, and sacking those who has gone hostile to his style of management. This anomaly has been reported many times to our Human Resources Dept. but to no avail. What should we do? Is mass resignation appropriate?

Man I see all these people asking gay baiting questions but when I want to follow the rules and Email them to start a genuine dialogue I see they don't take Emails, some ask questions like I'm a school girl and the lesbians are all trying to get me to sleep with them but I want to save myself and marry a man, if you got kids you know number one there is extremely low on the probability scale ( just look at the actual percentage of gay Americans) and my 13 year old daughter would NEVER call herself a school girl,( for the record I asked HER and I also asked if this occured at her school, her answers were no, no & they would look for other like them) man some people it seems will go to any extreme to push thier agenda then accuse everyone else (gays) of having one.

It could be chemical or biological or radiation, but how would you know that they had done this? Are there general ways for a homeowner to detect things like this? Some people don't like me because I say that eternal damnation is a lie. This bugs them especially since I have a good marriage with my wife and she agrees with me on this. Some people have done some rotten things to us over the years and I just want to make sure something long term is not being done inside my house. A little paranoid I guess, but maybe rightfully so judging by history.
