Yes, in romania there are some orphanages like the one in that documentary showing misery and so on. The romanian infrastructure is not so good. That documentary was filmed in a lost suburb, the autorities didn`t know about it. It was closed immediately after. Step by step, romania`s problems are being fixed. But there are lots of problems, like gypsies, who make this contry look like **** in other`s eyes. But the gouverment can`t do anything about them, because if they try something the romanian gouverment gets accused of discrimination.
So, there are 2 types of people in romania :
1.The romanians, very intelliigent people. (20% of the emplyees of Microsoft are romanians) . I don`t know if this is related to intelligence, but i saw at the morning news that a romanian teen broke into NASA`s database and caused a 2 million dollar damage. The poor teen got 50 years in jail .
2.The gypsies, who make Romania look like s.h.i.t in other people`s eyes. They steal all the time, they are always grouped in "packs" and attack just like wolves on the streets of romania. I am not racist, but i think that the gypsies are an inferior race. Their society is just like an animal society, they can`t learn or work because they are too stupid, the rob people while grouped in packs. With the money they stole, they buy alcohol and spend their night near dump (garbage) holes located in the suburbs.
Although some of them can steal up to 500-600$ in a single day, they just don`t know what to do with the cash except buy alcohol.
I know all this because i had a project about gypsies at school

CE actually could also stand for Council of Europe which is essentially means the same as the EU. I do not think that Romania should be in the EU because after recently seeing a documnetary on adoptions of romanian children and the state of the institutions holding orphans and adults with mental health problems, there needs to be a serious review of human rights there first.

I'm from ROMANIA and I just want you to know that I'm proud to be a part from this country!!!
First I'll tell you a bit about Romania. It's one of the most beautifully country in Europe, did you know that Bucharest(the capital of Romania) was nick named the small PARIS,but that was before the communist regime cam to power. And another thing Romania isn't all about Gypsies!I don' know why every body puts Romania in a "bad light",I men let's face it every country has its problems,Italy,Spain,Germany,Hungary,Bulgaria, etc.they all have to deal with criminality and politically stuff that I'm not interested in.
Did you know that DRACULA the famous vampire is actually a Romanian myth? This country has 2000 years of history and that's a big thing, because not all countries can pride with something like that.
Romania is not only Gypsies and crimes and other bad things...Romania is a country who's steady rebuilding after the revolution.
And now to answer your question:
For Romania this will be a big step ahead, although the prices will get much higher and the salary won't grow like in rest of Europe. And why shouldn't we join,I men after all there where other countries that joined the U.E. and where in the same situation like we are now, take Hungary for example :) but in about 50 years the face of Romania will be a totally different one:)
