Once again, Bush has defeated Gore.

I guess this should end the arguments once and for all.

I recently was forced out of a business that I built. My partners shafted me mostly because my common law wife is Indian and I live in a white bread and mayonaise small city. I grew up in this city. I know everyone. I was always well respected in the comuminity and lived very well. I fell in love with a girl from Malasia, who is actually from Indian background. Her parents are from India. We got along like peas and carrots. I met her in a huge city near to my home town as she was working where I worked. After 25 years in this business I had backing of my friends as partners and we opened a unit in my city. Since we worked so well together in the big city, and this was our business, I insisted we continue to work together. She is an asset to our business. After one year, my partners gave me an ultimatium, she must go. At this point I was not about to abandon her. I did not relent. They pushed me out. Took over a company I started. With out me they would have no business. Now they do.

I am looking for legitimate reason why Ron Paul is more qualified to be President than any other candidate. Please do not bash Ron Paul or promote another candidate on this thread as I will be asking about some other candidates as well. Also, please note that there is only one Hillary Clinton and half of Americans are Republicans. Therefore, the arguments that a) "At least he's not Clinton." and b) at least he's not a Democrat." are not valid qualifications as those qualities are shared by my aunt, and I wouldn't trust her to run a lemonade stand.

Specifically, I am looking for
1) a voting record that shows consistency in what he supports.
2) evedence of good moral character
3) historical evidence that his ideas are good for the economy (ie. when Xyz lowered taxes, unemployment dropped by X%)
4) Evidence that he will stand by his convictions even if they are unpopular
5) In what way is he superior to the other candidates of his party?

Does anyone have any idea why the older generation seem to dislike unions and labor? Im 22, and so is my partner, we're both going to vote labor, however all the guys my partner works with (who are all above 40yrs) have a very storng dislike towards unions and labor - we get the feeling that something must have happened a while back that we dont know about, something bad the unions or labor did perhaps? does anyone know if this is the case? what happened, and when?
