yes, this is a facetious and sideways question ... I still can't believe he sat there and read a kids book while we were under attack

riled me up when I saw the first part of the movie 'United 93' and they couldn't get the president on the phone

Considering a trillion dollars being spent in the Middle East War and the benchmarks within those contracts with the Congress.

And why is the failure in our legislature in not impeaching this president instead of going along with the conduct of the war?

So says you?

If someone blocks you in and is less than one inch from your car and you have no room to get out of the spot and despite your best efforts and 20 point turn, you still slightly scuff their bumper, shouldn't that person be liable for blocking you in and preventing you from reasonably leaving? Just curious. I scuffed a bumper today and left no real damage but I left a note, but I'm pissed at them for blocking me in.

Four months ago, I was rear-ended by a taxi. It was completely his fault, and his insurance company owes me $3,500 to get my car replaced because it was totaled. My mom has been calling everyday since the accident, and the insurance person we are dealing with will not return her calls. She has even gone to their place of business requesting they give her the check. She's even called the Better Business Bureau, and they told her that there isn't much they can do! For what reason, I'm really not sure. We've gotten a lawyer, but the taxi's insurance company won't return his calls either. The guy even lied to us and told us he sent the check, but he didn't. I've been having to drive my car with a bent frame, I now need an alignment, and my tires are going bad. The accumulated stress is causing me to have troubles sleeping. PLEASE!!! Is there ANYTHING I can do???

Europe or America?

All of us in Europe have fought with everyone else so many times - as recently as the 1940s we were all at war with each other!

With the exception of their Revolutionary War, the Yanks have always been our friends.

However, modern day American policy upsets and alienates a lot of people and they also did fund the IRA terror campaigns (which killed people in mainland Britain) which makes it sometimes hard to feel allegiance to them.

So who would you prefer to be allied with. America? Or Europe?

EXCERPT FROM WEBSITE:
The way America has got involved in conflicts in regions like the Middle East has made some people very angry, including a group called al-Qaeda - who are widely thought to have been behind the attacks.

In the past, al-Qaeda leaders have declared a holy war - called a jihad - against the US. As part of this jihad, al-Qaeda members believe attacking US targets is something they should do.

When the attacks happened in 2001, there were a number of US troops in a country called Saudi Arabia, and the leader of al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, said he wanted them to leave.

Yesterday I recieved a letter on my door saying that I was being fined $50 for parking on the grass outside my house. The letter says that a manager saw my car parked on the grass and that I have to pay the fine or be evicted. I KNOW that I did not park my car on the grass that day nor have I ever parked on it. And the thing is that I wasnt home all day! I was at school from 7 to 3 and then went to work. I usually park my car outside my house on the curb, but sometimes there are other cars parked there and a few days ago one of those cars parked in the grass and messed it all up. There was durt on the curb and when I parked there yesterday it got on my tires. I went down to try to sort it out and the lady wasnt even nice she bitched me out and kept changing her story saying that she saw me even getting out of the car and then saying neighbors complained, but yet she cant say what time it was and I know shes lying. Is there anything I can do? Im 100% positive I didnt park on the grass.

This guy is a client that my hubbies sompany is doing a job for, so he is not a boss in any way. Daily he makes remarks like hubby said i wish i had a few days off and he was speaking to someone else, and this clients response was i wish i could run ur *** off. My hubby is a perfectionist and does a well job but this guy is an ***. At times he has to walk into this mans office and the guys reponse it what r u here to quit today? Or something like u can b replaced easily. Hubby is a good strong confident worker been doing this tpe of work for 8 yrs. But he believe it is bcuz hubby sticks to his gut and doesn't call bad things good so that they will get passed. He is no way an asshole or hard to get along with he is a good guy not uptight or anything like that, but he does like to to the job right and the way it is meant to be done.

Have any of them flat-out broken ties with Moveon ?
Have any of them refused any further association with Moveon ?

and

Have you decided to never have any association with Moveon ?

Of course I'm referring to Moveon's NY Times ad . Petraeus or Betrayus . And I'm asking because although Moveon is not officially sanctioned as a Democratic Party organization , I think it's fair to say you won't find any Republicans within that organization . And the Democrats have already imbibed in the benefits they reap from Moveon . So I'm not blaming the Democrats for the ad , I'm just wondering if they've publicly distanced themselves from any further association ..

So -- Did Any Democrats Disavow the Actions of Moveon ?

Is there a "snopes-like" site to check up on some of these allegedly real cop videos?

2007-09-11 09:04:47 · 3 answers · asked by callmar 2 in Law Enforcement & Police

I recently got my first (maryland) speeding ticket. The cop lowered my speed from going 76 in a 55 to 64 in a 55 zone. Very nice, but still one point that I would like to try to get off. I see there is an option to go to a waiver hearing where the cop wont be there, the sole point is to impose a "sentence". Is that a better option then going to regular traffic court? I mean, I'm already going to be pleading guilty anyways...

The president said Iraq's refusal to cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors presented a threat to the entire world.

"Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons," Clinton said.

"Along with Prime Minister (Tony) Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning," Clinton said.

Whats that kids? Without delay, DIPLOMACY or warning?

"In halting our airstrikes in November, I gave Saddam a chance -- not a license. If we turn our backs on his defiance, the credibility of U.S. power as a check against Saddam will be destroyed," the president
